It works until you pick up the pistol, then it crashes out every time with a verbose error message. I followed the install directions exactly which means the mod itself is broken. At least, I got my almost 6 gb of storage room back after deleting this garbage.

Doesn't work. SMOD Redux can't be made to run at all and the "standalone" version only gets as far as the Valve splash screen, then errors out with a "hl2.exe has stopped responding". None of the "tutorials" on the web on how to get this to work, are legitimate either.

Nice. I worked for Interplay from 1996 to 2001 and was a tester on Redneck Rampage. That game was great and although it was a pretty cheesy concept, I always hoped people would do something with it like a 3D modeled version or HD tex version or anything.

System Shock 1/2 will always be the kings of the series. I assume you've played SS2 with all of the high rez models packs, tex packs, and unofficial, updated shock2 patches made by the community.
Sadly there hasn't been any Shock1 modding, for the most part.

I've been putting off playing the main Deus Ex storyline again until the next rev of Revision mod comes out. I hated it at first, had trouble accepting it, but then I grew to like after the last rev of the mod (1.3.1). Now I can't wait for it. Been running through Redsun2020, and ZODIAC again, in the meantime.
I even reinstalled Invisible War to play again. I know most peeps hated it but I always liked it even though it was such a departure from the original DX formula, and despite there never being an SDK.

I wish someone, somewhere, would remake SS1 using the SS2 engine. This still looks cool and I hope to see something come of it.

This mod was working great until I reached the Mall Cleanup part (or whatever it's called). You have to "lock all the doors before resetting the server" and there is only one set of doors, and after you close the doors leading to the outside, there is nothing else to do, no pathways open up, nothing. There is a steel roll-up door nearby that has tons o' zombies behind it but it never opens and the game cannot be completed. What a shame that it was released this way, being uncompletable. Maybe co-op isn't broken but single player campaign is screwed.

Btw, there is nothing wrong with your English, it's not bad at all.

Just recently reinstalled Blood 2 and I came across this mod. It seems ok so far but the combat shotgun doesn't have a models either in first person or on the ground. I didn't even know I picked it up until I saw a strange weapon in my inventory. You can't fire it or anything either, it just takes up an inventory space and that's it.
I'm using the 2.1.233 patch with Nightmare Levels addon and the appropriate EC file. I'm also running the original release CD not the GOG version, if that matters which it shouldn't.

I hated this mod at first but then I came to like it over time, and now I'm excited to finally see the finished product. I hope the end result turns out to be everything we are hoping it will be.

I wanted to play this again but since I lost the original image I downloaded before, I went to download it again and guess what? Yup, it no longer exists for download ANYWHERE. The gamefront download gives a 403 error, Gamerhell claims "no mirrors are available in your area" even though Gamerhell has NO clue where I am, and torrents are completely useless/nonexistent.

If you enjoy stumbling around without any clues/hints as to where you are supposed to go next or what you are supposed to do, then play this. Just another mod, in a long list of mod-types, that expects you to psychically know what to do next.

Been trying to play/enjoy this mod but half of the time, I get a hl2.exe has stopped responding error. It's not worth the hassle to keep screwing around with it since Steam tends to take 5+ minutes just to launch an application, which is the biggest Steam nuisance in existence.

The maps, models, textures, and atmosphere are quite amazing even though you feel like you spend the entire playthrough inside a Klingon ship. The puzzles were easy and not ridiculously overcomplicated like 99% of mods, which is always a plus. The biggest failing is the lack of excitement and action and the gameplay quickly becomes boring and repetitive. A better name for this mod would be, "Repairman Simulator". Doubtful there will every be any continuation of this project but if there is and if its exactly like part one, then I'll pass.

You'll need to impulse 101 right from the start since the mod creator didn't include the hazard suit in the mod. Otherwise, you'll have no flashlight and will not be able to cycle through your inventory. There is also a distinct lack of any information given to the player. You'll just have to "figure out on your own" how you are supposed to proceed. Some areas have problems where scripts don't play either. All in all, just a waste of time.

Complete junk, won't even start. Installed it plus patches and when you run it, it shows an intro movie for several seconds, then does some loading, then minimizes, tries to restore, desktop resolution gets changed to something like 640x480, game stays minimized but cannot be alt-tabbed to or maximized in any way. CTRL-ALT-DEL is the only option.

So after "Securing the helipads", the game just sits there and does nothing. No doors open anywhere, no text appears telling you what to do, no way to progress to the next level, nothing. This happens every time without fail.
Sigh... so many junk mods, so little patience for them.
Here's some advice: TEST your mod before uploading it.

Started out great and was very enjoyable until... yup, the tull map where the ai disabled problem was and the repeatable crashing began. Only after constantly quicksaving and relaunching the game enabled me to get past it. The next problem occurred near the end where the giant Combine barrier that blocks your progress eventually opened but left an invisible wall that prevented further progress. Anytime noclip is required to complete a mod, you have failed at your modding attempt.
Not to mention the cliche nonsense of "Hey, let's make the player fight one million enemies while waiting for an ultra-slow elevator to descend"...

Not too bad, this mod was pretty well made. I didn't care for the hazy weather that was everywhere, including inside buildings, which made me feel like I was playing inside a smoke-filled bar. The only issue I had was the part in the train station where you have to pass through a force field where prisoner canisters are passing through; the force field was not able to be disabled in anyway and I was forced to noclip to proceed.

Not bad and at least it's different. My only issue is the whole "kill cops" message this mod sends. Call the Combine, the "Combine", not "cops". We don't need any more leftist hate and anti-societal behavior, there is too much already. Asides from that, nice job.

EXACT same thing for me and I quit at the exact same spot. This mod, like 90% of all mods, is very player un-friendly. Too many mods include "puzzles" or paths that only the mod creator understands while providing no clues/hints as to what to do or where to go. This is exactly why these people are not professionals and never will be.

This mod was great. Unfortunately, there was absolutely no way of figuring out what you were supposed to do at the part where you must fight a ton of enemies on top of the castle. You can wipe them out but there are a bunch of those tentacle-claws that pope out of the ground and they are unkillable. The game didn't end and there was no where to go and nothing to do.
PS - Avoid SiC 2 at all costs, it is impossible to play and you'll never get past the Train level.

The first "Survive in Catacombs" was good. This one.. this one suffers from the same problems as 99% of Half-Life mods: WAAAY too hard and hence, ZERO fun-factor.. You get no ammo, no health, no armor, and half infinitely-spawning enemies.
