Ballistic Weapons replaces UT2004's wepaons with a batch of new, realistic, high quality weapons using an enhanced weapons sytem with reloading, aiming, firemodes, improved damage behaviour and much more to give the game a more tactical style. All the items have also been replaced and the mod uses totally original sounds and effects.
The entire mod is implemented through a mutator so it is compatible with all gametypes and many different mods. It also comes with a melee mutator to play using only the melee weapons. Decent bot support has been included, allowing the bots to use all the new weapons.
The mod has also been designed to be very mod friendly so as to serve as a base for other mods allowing most features and systems to be implemented using just the default properties of new weapons.
A manual is included with the mod as well.
As of v2.1 and BWBP4, the mod features 41 weapons, numerous customizable options, dozens of features for the weapons, gametypes and more, and an elaborate blood an gore system. V2.5 will update the roster of weapons to 47 in total.

We've been so busy working on this next weapon drop that we've almost forgotten to keep you guys posted! What you can probably expect in this next drop will be the most excellent piece of Soviet engineering made ever: the AK-490 Battle Rifle! It's ready to answer that clever little riddle, "What can you add to something to make it lighter?" (Hint: It's holes. Very big bullet holes.) Its handy little X8 Ballistic Knife bayonet is also usable on its own if that's your sort of thing. Two weapons for one!
And if that two-for-one combo wasn't enough, you'll also get the capitalist MJ51 Carbine with its detachable rifle grenade! Live out your wildest explosive-device-as-a-melee-weapon fantasies today with the MOA-C grenades! Well, maybe not today, but soon! If hitting people with hand held explosives sounds like a bad idea, then you can launch it from the MJ51 Carbine to cover your enemies (and friends!) in a cloud of smoke and finish them off with a couple well placed bursts from this excellent assault rifle.
Release date of the next weapon drop is pending. You can mark it on your calender as "probably soon".

This mod brings an entire new scope to the creativity of Unreal2k4, and keeps me playing to this day! Excellent mod with a fantastic arsenal and incredible level of customization to fit any player's style.

After the patch, nowadays I was using the SM-AT/AA Recoilless Rifle more often, and I noticed that when firing sometimes right after moving, sometimes after standing still for a while, the shot projectile goes towards the target, then for some reason just before hitting it, the projectile turns back towards the user of this weapon.
Whether the target is close, far, still, moving or sprinting does not seem to matter, and this 'rebound' happens quite often. Sometimes it happens with the other gun too, that looks almost the same and can hold 2 projectiles.
Ammo packs don't want to refill remote charges and mines. Not when I used up all I had but not even when I still have at least one. It refills ammo for all other weapons except these two... though have not checked yet with grenades -haven't been using them much.
hello i have a problem with the dual wield feature it seems to work just for the original ut weapons and not the ballistic weapon mods. what should i do? is there something i did wrong with the installation or the game itself is just truly ****** up?
you should try making the bw and skw work with outsider view mod(its a 3rd person mod!) that would be epic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love your hard work in those mods :D

This mod will require a lot of configuration, you need to set what weapon can be choose for Melee, Secondary, Primary, Sidearms and Grenades. Before starting a Ballistic Weapons match, go into Settings, then edit the BW settings. Simple :)
Hey Sgt.Kelly is it possible that you could put in the ability to wield dual AH208 assault pistols aka.Desert Eagles for people that are willing to live with the recoil?
Hey, I have a suggestion for the modified red tiger camo automatic RS04 (or "Tiger's Teeth" as I call it); how about giving it extended clip size instead of increased reload speed? I think 12 round mags sound reasonable.
The 2nd and 3rd weapon drops are great! :D
