Deus Ex is a series of first person video games, consisting of three games: Deus Ex, Deus Ex: Invisible War, and Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

While all three games have distinct settings and story lines, together they explore the methods used by the world's elite to control and manipulate society. Human Augmentation also factors heavily in the stories, being introduced in Human Revolution and explaining the main characters super human abilities through all three games.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution
(Deus Ex 3) 2027 A.D.
This game takes place when the development of bio-mechanical augmentation by a few elite and powerful companies threatens to destabilize society. The main story follows Adam Jensen, a private security officer for one of these companies, as he attempts to figure out who is behind recent attacks on his company. The events in the game lead to the formation of UNATCO, a global anti-terrorist organization formed by the United Nations.

Deus Ex / Deus Ex: The Conspiracy
(Deus Ex 1) 2052 A.D.
This game takes place after a rogue organization Majestic 12(MJ-12) attempts to take over the world by secretly releasing a virus only they have a cure for. The game is played through the eyes of rookie UNATCO agent J.C. Denton, who through the course of the game discovers the true identity of MJ-12 as a rogue offshoot of the once powerful Illuminati. The story ends with a final confrontation with Bob Page, leader of MJ-12, and a moral decision for J.C. Denton to seize power for himself, restore power to the Illuminati or destroy the work of MJ-12 entirely and possibly create a new global dark age.

Deus Ex: Invisible War
(Deus Ex 2) 2072 A.D.
This game takes place after an event known as The Collapse, where several global organizations offer competing ideologies for how society should function. The story follows recent trainee Alex Denton, clone of J.C. Denton, as he completes missions for these organizations, learns their true identities and intentions and in the end decides which organization should rule the world.

Just joined the group and looking forward to sayin howdy to everybody. .. HOWDY! .. lol!

Anyhow, what brought me to this site is the fact that I've downloaded
http//thepiratebay.se/torrent/8055493/Deus_Ex_GOTY_HD_[New_Vision]

And there was a link to this site, which I quickly learned is a community more than anything. Well anyhow, I'm playing though the game and I got to the part to where I (JC) get captured and am in that holding cell. Then some guy radios in and tells me that he needs me to escape and then shuts power down and opens the door half way up for me to exit.

This is where my problem came in. A STUPID glitch! I have no idea how or why its happening. But as soon as I exit the cell, I get about 4 seconds before the game sort of 'locks up.' It doesn't fully lock up, I just get stuck and can't move around anymore. Plus I can see up the hallway where it looks like the game is trying to build something but behaving like its working with corrupted data or files.

I'm not sure whats going on, but I wonder if it might have something to do with the fact that during my downoading I had to pause the download more than once for various reasons, perhaps I got a messed up file or something.. I don't know.

What I do know is I'd hate to have to fully download that game again cause I'll probably have to pause it again anyhow and may have the same issues all over again. I'm hoping I might gain some insight from this community as to what's happening and how I can go about fixing it. 1. So I can finish this awesome game. And 2. Its really very interesting learning about video games and how they work/go together.

Anyhow, I look forward to meeting you all and hope that perhaps some of you might steer me in the right direction in fixing my game. I'd really like to have this issue corrected so I can then move on and try out all these different MODs that I'm reading so much about!

Sincerely,

Degenerator

**NOTE**
I had to modify the URL at the beginning because I'm such a new user to the site, it wouldn't let me post it until it trusts that I'm not a 'spambot' haha!

Anyhow, I removed the : <-- from the http

Deus Ex 1: Best game ever made.

Deus Ex 2: Failed in some regards but had some good ideas in other parts. All in all though weak.

Desu Ex 3: Failed in many regards but had some very nice ideas which had not been thought throuh to the end ending up as gimmicks/overpowered without the actual punch the ideas itself would have had to begin with. Better than DX2 but nowhere near DX1.

I have to disagree. I enjoyed Human Revolution just about as much as I did the predecessor. And, neither game is the "best" game ever made. No game has ever been made that is perfect.

Tis just a mod trying to emulate Human Revolution, still a decent effort but I actually had higher hopes when I saw this comment.
