Bioshock's concept was developed by Irrational's creative lead, Ken Levine, and was based on the ideas of Objectivism as highlighted by Ayn Rand, while incorporating influences from other authors such as George Orwell. Bioshock is considered a spiritual successor to the System Shock series, which many of Irrational's team including Levine had worked on previously.

Honestly I think Bioshock 2 is the best out of all the 3 Games.
Like the Characters, Story, and Gameplay feels a lot better than the first one and to some extent the third one.
Anyone here read the book for Bioshock it just makes the first game so much more interesting story Amazon.co.uk id go as far to say you dont even need to be a fan of the game to like the book.
I prefer system shock but i did love the first bioshock not so much the second not got around to playing the third yet.
System Shock 1/2 will always be the kings of the series. I assume you've played SS2 with all of the high rez models packs, tex packs, and unofficial, updated shock2 patches made by the community.
Sadly there hasn't been any Shock1 modding, for the most part.
I don't like the npc models in the High Rez model pack Cyber Midwife should not have huge tits :/ its a horror game.
BioShock won "Best Shooter" and "Best Character" on VGX! What do you guys think?
