Poor guy, he grew up, spent his whole like working until he reached the zone. He earned his weapon, his armour, but then to be struck down and lose his whole life's work.
This is the true Misery...

Just saying, I love the atmosphere created around people's Misery here. Playing the Beta was a teaser and I look forward to being able to try on the shoes of differently trained players.
This stalker is a brave and skilled marksman. He has served as a true soldier for more than ten years. Now his life is about to find its end here in The Excluded Zone as a hidden sniper put a bullet through his left forearm and right into his chest. His K98 dropped to the ground and he grasps for a last breath. Pain streams from his chest to his neck. Was he hit more than once? He is filled with hope but he soon realizes that this is where his dream will end. He sees his lost wife one more time... she now sits next to him and turns him to his back. Blood from his mouth... A gentle touch to his cheek and she tells him that she prepared a meal for him at home. They will be together again...
Then when he arrives home the sniper will be waiting for him again.

The Zone its like a grave for many of the stalkers and the only thing that remains after them its a story and ofcourse the weapon who served him and even if he was killed or put down by the hars coditions of the zone the weapon will still have a story to tell in the hands of another stalker and to serve him like it served the first owner
or maybe this is the only way u can escape misery
