Well, here we have another set of updates for you over the weekend, starting with the Confederate Seaport. Seen here with a group of captured Allied repair drones that most certainly will NOT be in the final game, the seaport provides all your naval units, such as the Destroyer and Razor Sub seen in this picture.

But not looks like RA1 naval yard..
That's kinda the point =P The Confederates use a lot of RA1 technology and structures, their Power Plant is an example.
The problem with the RA1 Naval Yard is that it doesn't have anywhere for the ships to come out of. They'd just pop into existence. Now, this was fine for Red Alert 1, but nowadays it kind of ruins the immersion.
As for looking like other naval yards, that dorky lighthouse is enough for me!
Exactly. We had a square naval yard in the RA1 style, but it was almost impossible to make it look good and create units inside of it. It ended up being a massively tall, rather silly looking structure, so we scrapped it and made this one based on the Allied Naval Yard and the RA1 Construction Yard.
Maybe you could add like a garage door in there so it slides up and a unit sails out of it?
I like it, but I think it is too simular to all the other RA3 seaports, they all followed the same style. However of course you could say that it will fit in more so hmmm...
Yeah I agree, maybe for the next factions Some of the naval things should be different. Maybe naval only buildings? Such as possilbe turrets or something for beating the crap out of boats specifically? maybe only subs could destroy said weapons which would make bombarding ships a bit less op? :) Just a possible suggestion to make it all the better guys :D

note:i an thinking that the allied versions won't be in the original game... but if what i said is what they meant, sorry...
Confeds need repair stuff other than their incredibly expensive engineers (750 each, maybe? nobody's sure yet) and their COMMANDO, I think. The fact that the Confeds are able to perform repairs in the field doesn't mean that it should be their ONLY way of repairing, you know? I mean, look at the Allies with their Engie IFVs. They can repair vehicles too, but it isn't the ONLY way.
lol i have an suggestion. what if you change the Cond. Repair drones into small drones with small hot air balloons lol that be awesome.

As a second thought- it looks great, but still very much like the Allies' one despite some cool changes.
Maybe a garage-like door like vlamnire suggested would give it more visual difference from it.
It looks awesome though- a garage door would just be polishing an already great building.
EDIT: Then again, the Soviet naval yard also looks alot like the Allies', but the garage still might look good.
