The L.U.R.K. team wants to provide the best possible experience from Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, we don't plan to skew the scope of this game, because I, like many others, fell in love with the game because of the story, the realistic gameplay, and the atmosphere. I plan to preserve and improve on that concept to the best of my abilities, and our team has vowed to do so as well. Which is why we took it upon ourselves to provide that experience. While improving upon that concept with features that were dropped off the development cycle from GSC, such as stealth AI, and a strong foundation for balance, as well as dynamic A-Life, and an unprecedented visual presentation that no other Stalker Overhaul can touch.

I figured I might as well start one of these threads to help out the dev team.

- MP5 does not have any description. All it says is "Currently not in use."
- Sleeping bag has no icon, and sometimes will disappear without a menu pop-up when used. [Found by broadsword]
- Sleeping changes the time, but not the condition of the time (10AM is still dark). [Found by broadsword]

LURK crashes my game whenever i try to complete the first mission. When i talk to the trader and try and turn in the flash drive that i got from nimble, the game closes automatically.

Only been playing for about an hour and I already got me a Skat 9 and enough ammo to start a war. On another note is there something amiss with the damage system because early in game wearing leather jacket came across a Bloodsucker and he went down with three pistol shots from a pmm all I got was a little bleeding even though he hit me a couple of times. The killing seems a little easy whilst I don't seem to suffer even though they are getting a few hits on me. Even the military at the bridge were easy meat with 1 nade and two shotty blasts for all five of them. Also the NV sound it's a tad annoying. Hopefully some if not all these will be looked at and fixed or not depending on what sort of realism you are looking for ie healing bandages ( should just stop bleeding imho ) and food heals as well. I'm not knocking this in any way it may be just the way I like my games that make me notice these things. also asa on main page the hand/glove when using TOZ 34 on iron sights seems a bit odd and the sawn off TOZ 66 the background seems to jump when you aim left to right or vice versa. And I am playing on master level.

Playing on master, found a few problems.

-Like Gobbi said, it's too easy to get the skat-9 very early
-STALKERs buy any non-vanilla weapons/ammo for their full price
-Traders sell artifacts/mutant parts for more than they sell them for (I haven't been abusing this)
-Side-quest rewards don't seem to be changed at all, despite the sell price for things going way up
-Some Fleshes are taking up to four loads of buckshot to the face before dying

I'm also curious if respawn time has been altered at all.

EDIT: Now whenever I try to load my Bar save, I get this error.

Using Vista:

I complete the trader quest, walk around and do nothing in particular for 5 minutes, and then CTD.

Then I can't load the game unless I uninstall Lurk. /:|

I really appreciate the work you've done on the mod Bancave, but is this an open beta or something? Because its CTDs make it unplayable :p

I used to get that quite a lot on SMP have you added the -noprefetch to your shortcut , also you could try removing shaders and/or levels folders or as a last resort buy some more memory and use the 3gb switch to try to fix it. Happy Hunting :-) just got to bar myself if you want you could try my save see what happens ttfn

Alright, so ignoring the special quest, I ran to garbage, it's okay but you're practically untouchable in the tunnel (train tracks). I mean it. they walk towards you like zombies, inevitably get killed by an anomaly. So the entire bandit army gets wiped out by their own incompetence :rambo:

Now at Bar beside the duty trader... there's 500 guns all lying on the ground, and it drowns my fps to a slideshow. Otherwise nothing wrong at the bar.

A few small gripes:
When you're out of ammo there's no running animation
You can attach ammo to belt (what use does that have?)
The electricity anomaly sounds like an atomic bomb going off.
Any reason why the pistol you get at the start has pinpoint accuracy?

Otherwise the the shaders, weather, and (most of) the textures are excellent. Iron out the bugs and crashes and you've got a good mod.

Hi everyone. I've been enjoying the mod so far, but I ran into a problem when I got to the Bar. When I entered the Bar, my game slowed way down, even after lower my graphic settings. Upon some further inspection I found this:

As you can imagine, this does a number on the physics engine. This is the area where the Duty member who occasionally says "What are you after?" resides. I'm not sure if it has something to do with him. I've never experienced this with vanilla STALKER or Oblivion Lost, so I'm assuming it's this mod (it's the only mod I have on top of a fresh install of STALKER).

Fixed:
- If Seirly dies in the shoot out at garbage, there is no flash drive/PDA info on him and thus no way to continue the "Get information about Strelok" quest (fixed?)
- Early morning fog looks quite strange: 0300 hours, 0430 (fixed in patch 3?)
- It would be nice to have more sunny daytime weather (right now it seems to be cloud cover/raining during 90% of daytime hours)
- AK-74 is less accurate than the AKM? The AKM was made to enhance the AK-47, and the AK-74 was made to enhance the AKM. AK-74 > AKM > AK-47
- Silencer issue already mentioned in OP
- Unable to attach PSO scope to SVD (but the sniper scope works ...)
- This SOS call yields nothing upon investigation (issue with game, not mod created)
- SVD reload sound out of sync
- Flashlight has short range
- Crazy Bar FPS/too many guns issue
- Clipping with TOZ-34 iron sight graphics here
- 7.62x39 ammo not labeled correctly

New and Old Bugs I've Encountered:
- Loading a save where you were once stealth/unknown to and surrounded by enemies automatically alerts them to your presence
- When you save Sergei from jail he jogs for a bit, then sprints non-stop and goes totally ape shit all over the level after he gets shot at
- 9x39mm ammo weighs 0.07kg? Pretty light!
- Double scope issue when attaching PSO scope to Vintorez
- Vintorez inventory icon includes scope when weapon does not have scope attached (see above)
- No run animation with SVU
- No run animation with knife
- No run animation with binoculars
- Cloud ground shadows sometimes move blazingly fast - is this a design choice?
- Rain drop noises go silent while rain mesh/animation continues, possibly due to reloading saves
- Silencers that do not work are still in the barter lists
- Groza doesn't list attachments
- No scope on Mosin Nagant (to be accurate, only Mosin's with a bent bolt-handle can accept scopes, otherwise the bolt handle will hit the scope. Special "sniper" Mosin's were developed with this in mind.)
- Mosin Nagant reload animation clips
- Respawns in Wild Territory (just outside of Bar) are crazy fast and ruin gameplay. Sometimes they will spawn right on top of you and kill you without giving you a chance.
- Night vision doesn't stay on after loading a save or going to a new area, even if it was on before
- L85 is missing reload noise when the weapon is cocked at the end of the animation
- L85 scope stretches out on widescreen (1920x1200)
- Saiga 12k description states "not used"
- Arena guard headlamp issue
- Burer hand description is incorrect
- When rescuing the duty member from the basement cell, he was, well, not in the cell; quest completed by opening cell door, regardless.

Balance Issues:
- Reward for completing a "bring over X artifact" quest is less than just selling that same artifact
- Flesh (4500Ru) and Sparkler (3000Ru) have the exact same effects and different prices
- The AKM (longer and heavier) should have inferior handling and superior accuracy when compared to the AKMS (shorter and lighter)
- AKS (5.45x39mm, shorter, lighter) should have inferior damage superior handling than the AKMS (7.62x39mm, longer, heavier)

Personal Gripes:
- Loner camp trader's radio doesn't play music like vanilla STALKER (intentional?)
- Jump seems a little high (but I understand this helps jump fences, etc for stealth and for getting items)
- Some of the ambient sounds (weird horror screams) from other mods are pretty cheesy, and happen very often
- If the engine can work this way, it would be nice to have occasional bright nights with a full moon to mix things up.
- AN-94 model is kinda meh ... :/

- No MP5 descripiton as mentioned by OP
- No sleeping bag icon as mentioned by OP
- The world turns ultra dark after sleeping regardles of in game time (12PM is dark as *****) as mentioned by OP
- Bodies are not dissapearing a well as their droped weapons which causes massive drops in frame rate and loading time.

Getting some weird graphical glitches with rainfall. Only with certain weathers does it seem to show this glitch. Sometimes the rain is completely normal. I have not seen this glitch in vanilla SHOC.

Getting this same issue on Win7 64-bit. No combination of any compatibility mode, running as administrator, or having -noprefetch in the shortcut seems to have any effect on it.

Even with some of the above mentioned problems this is an awesome mod gonna keep playing and see what happens, had no major lag even at bar. just a few bits that make the gameplay odd do you want me to post any errors/ctds or do you want to leave it untill the next release ? @ Daemonion I don't have any of the major problems such as lag, bodies staying etc either just the minor niggles as you have already stated in your post one addition is missing description for burer hand .

I did same install route as yourself even patching from 1.0001 through to 1.0005

Figured you guys would want to know this. Apparently what we all have is a leaked tester version so bugs are to be expected. The real release is on the 25th and will probably have most bugs fixed.
