The L.U.R.K. team wants to provide the best possible experience from Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, we don't plan to skew the scope of this game, because I, like many others, fell in love with the game because of the story, the realistic gameplay, and the atmosphere. I plan to preserve and improve on that concept to the best of my abilities, and our team has vowed to do so as well. Which is why we took it upon ourselves to provide that experience. We want to fulfill a niche that's otherwise unfulfilled in the modding community. We want to bring as many features to Stalker without damaging or changing the original theme of the game. While improving upon that concept with features that were dropped off the development cycle from GSC, such as stealth AI, and a strong foundation for balance, as well as dynamic A-Life, and an unprecedented visual presentation that no other Stalker Overhaul can touch.

I have a bug that i thought was supposed to have been fixed:
Medkits dont heal me. At all. Military or reg, nothing at all, but bandages still stop bleeding.

Gamebreaking bug here. So i'm currently tabbed out, and about 5 minutes ago i got into a fight with a bunch of bandits, lost some health, stopped the bleeding, then... Medkits are completely useless. They don't heal me at all, regardless of whether it is a military or regular.

Can you try reloading a save game and report back?

Got the medkits to work again finally but another problem has risen. Kruglov (or whatever the guys name is) doesn't give me the environment suit he promised. All i can say to him is "See ya." Therefore, i cannot continue in the game to get into the giant complex near Kruglov's mobile lab. How do i get the Environment Suit now???????

And i keep getting a crash when raiding the Freedom base with the Duty party. How do i fix that it seems to happen at a certain distance from the base.

Kruglov isn't the one who's supposed to give you the suit, Sakharov is. And from what i know he won't give it to you straight away, you have to agree to help with the research first i think, he will give you the best protective suit in the game as a reward if you bring him Ghost's suit from X16.

You could try not doing that,  those rogue Duty boys are a bunch of thuggish assholes and they're not even that loyal to the Duty cause since they become mercenaries in Call of Pripyat and try killing Major Degtyarev when he finds out they're in cahoots with some nefarious group.

But seriously though, that sequence isn't scripted very well and always caused issues; not a lot of people complain about it because not a lot of people choose to be dicks and kill the Freedomers for shits and giggles. It's tactically stupid to do anything other then live and let live when it comes to Freedom since they're keeping the monolith and mutants from breaching the barrier as well as the ruthless mercs.

And as for the last cherry on top of the shit cake, the Freedom base is your closest "hub" from the center of the Zone and their trader is stocked with top quality stuff, you would be wasting your time having to go all the way to the bar every time you come back from Pripyat or Red Forest and a lot of good equipment is more or less freedom exclusive, with a pretty discount if you're on friendly terms with them.

Welp i just play stalker using this mod,and start a new fresh game
i already at mission when trader tell me to go to barkeep
i get killed and bored, so i quit the game
after a few minutes i want to play this game again and i getting bug error

Hello

Is there a fix for the missing description for Dragunov SVU? I saw it being mentioned before but didn't see a response. As far as I can tell the description should be in string_table_enc_weapons.xml(.bak) together with all the other sniper rifles.

Fixed the bug by adding my own description. It's not a very accurate description but it helps with the immersion.

I don't know if it's a bug or what, but every time I try starting a game with 1.05 it looks like this:

This is supposed to be around noon in-game. I've swapped out every option of the optional folder packs trying to see if some combination will make it turn out right and I've freshly reinstalled both the base game and the LURK package from scratch and regardless of what I adjust every time it comes out looking like this. The PDA and the inventory menus look fine, it's just the in-game world that seems to be perpetually stuck in permanent night-time. Even the bunker is pitch-black.

It's completely unplayable and I'm at wit's end trying to figure out what's wrong. I never had any trouble like this with 1.1

Hey cern, sorry to hear you're having issues. I can't say I've seen this problem before. My first piece of advice would have been to do a fresh install, but it appears you have already done that.

I'm sorry but I personally am not sure how to help. I'll ask Panzer and see what he thinks. Stay posted.
