Final Fantasy Tactics: Rebirth (FFT: Rebirth) is a modification for Final Fantasy Tactics which features a rebalancing of almost everything in the game, in particular classes but also items, abilities, characters, random encounters, and storyline battles. The modification also features a few new graphics and a complete overhaul of the speed system. This mod caters to an audience already familiar with Final Fantasy Tactics - those who wish that some of the weaker classes were better balanced and want some new interesting and refreshing encounters.
I've actually been getting a lot of emails on FFT: Rebirth lately so someone must have linked to it somewhere (blog post or article). In this article you can see the updated job requirements for the mod (image below). Note that calculator here is actually dark knight. The blue highlighted cells denote changes from Vanilla. So basically the summoner requirements was increased to level four in both Priest and Wizard and the Dark Knight has a smattering of Fighting and Wizard class requirements.
One special note is that Mime is much harder to unlock in the mod due to the requirement of having two level 8 requirements. Level 8 now takes 5000 job points to obtain. This is due to our desire to increase variety of enemy skill use (enemies set to a job level 8 will know have 5000 jp worth of skills, more than double their original jp amount).

Just making sure I'm reading the table right. To unlock dark/lunar knight I need lv4 Knight, lv4 Wizard, lv3 Summoner, and lv3 Samurai. If that's the case my game must be bugging out cause I have all of those classes at their base levels (except for knight and wizard at 6 and 5 respectively).

I cannot express in words how completely excited I am to see this game has been modded (I’m late...I know). I will be downloading it tonight and can not wait to jump on this. So in advance, thank you for the hard work. I do have a question and I can’t seem to find the answer on the page.
1- do you give Ramza a special class?
We all know squire sucks but that’s supposed to be his main (Guts). Do you beef it up or make a class like “Swordsman” available to him? Obi-wan was so OP that I used to let him walk around with dual wield and clear out any map. I am hoping there is something for him. DK was ok for the others but Ramza needed his own special class. He didn’t get anything and was boring before. Onion Knight was also garbage. So I’m hoping you did something for him or possibly can do something for him. There is one thing that I want to see in a FFT modded game:
More tham 16 Characters in the team.
Can you, pls pls pls do that??? I don't want to dismiss Rad, Livian and the other one to have Malak and Rafa in the team, but I don't want to not accept them in the team as well. It would be great to have like 24 Characters in the team 'cause the monsters in these modded game are also good to have in battle. >< >< ><

Hmm, this may be an unintended bug, I will have to boot up the mod and test. We are glad you like the oracle, it was not heavily used in the vanilla game and hope we have improved the class to be on par with others.
Just wondering is it possible to use this and one of (I remember there being some) patches adding the PSP translation? Also does this mod touch Calculators at all ro do they still break the difficulty over their knee? :P
This mod removes calculators and replaces them with Dark Knights.
