Heroes of Might and Magic III is a turn-based strategic war game, set up in a classical role-playing game Environment. It involves capturing and developing towns, gathering resources, assembling armies and sending them into combat. Each town has a theme and can only raise the type of creatures appropriate to that theme. The resources (gold, wood, ore, gems, crystal, mercury, and sulfur) can be found mostly in mines and are gathered once a day. They are used to build new buildings in your towns, to improve existing buildings, to buy armies, etc. Each army is led by a hero and consists of up to seven stacks of creatures raised in towns or recruited in countryside. The armies are sent into tactical combat, which can occur either in countryside or in towns. If the attacker captures the town, the winner can recruit the creatures raised in that town afterwards.

We spent some time on creating and polishing a new character.
We decided that Beholder should be the first creature with a mana pool. It uses it's points for almost every attack and skill it has. You can stun your enemies, shoot your laser eye, and use some other shocking abilities.
Besides, we've fixed some minor bugs, and improved a general mobility and reaction time for some of the moves.
The range of tactics has increased greatly. We're proud of the differences between fighters, and the amount of adjustment you need to make after you change a character :)
Beholder is different than other characters (no point in duplicating the builds, eh?) It’s a lightning type mage, it can shoot, fight in close combat very well and has a special ability to spam a bunch of lightnings. However he’s slow, easy to kill and needs mana to perform almost any action.
Mana works similarly to lizardman’s arrows. It slowly regenerates, however, so beholder is never armless and without any option to make a comeback. You need to plan your attacks carefully, adequately to your current mana pool and always have an emergency plan.
Another unique trait of beholder is an ability to shock his opponent with lightnings, causing multiple “stun” effects.
Attack, power attack, blok, deflection (counterattack) – as usually
Shooting – similarly to lizardman, just use you special skill key instead of attack key.
Crawling bolts (lightnings) – hit block + special key.
The next thing we would like (love) to see and add is a beat'em up mode, for one/two players vs multiple AI creatures. :O!

The .rar is a standalone (you still need the original HoMM3 data files. Read the mod description or readme.txt file if your'e new with the mod), although you can just unpack it over the previous version.
