Wasn't there meant to be a patch now? Maybe I misunderstood. Just hate to start the game and run into a gamebreaking bug.

Sounds good, don't need Crysis 2 which is nice. And CE3 is very well optimised, ofcourse it also depends on the models in the mod too.

I love WWII mods, this looks fantastic. Can't wait to see more, and maybe help out a little :)

1st one is a lot like the Mass Effect rifle.
2nd looks great, but grip could do with a re-think.
3rd is a bit clunky looking, not practical.
4th is a great balance between futuristic and function. Looks a plausible design.
5th looks great, apart from the stock.

Would I be right in saying that you could theoretically play mods for free with the SDK?

There is an interview with 3 members of the Black Mesa team on Steamcast that was made the other day; voice actors of scientists and Barney, aswell as the story lead. Very interesting interview. They say the mod is not dead and they are doing a lot of playtesting. They assure fans that something is in the pipeline, not so much a release, but something is coming.

Enough of this "mod is dead"/"page should be binned" talk.

Tanks look a bit like BMPs, cool futuristic shape, even if at an early stage. Looking good so far :)

Smart phones aren't very smart. In the case of touchscreens, they just get smudgy and fidgety (no button feedback). Also, apps are just a waste of time. My humble little LG A133 will do me fine :)

One think that really bugs me (moreso the game itself, not the mod) is the inability to rest weapons on ledges of sandbags. This is a bit annoying when it comes to the likes of the BREN and BAR. Also, you have to be prone to use MGs.

That said, there's no other issue I can find. Superb mod, really has a great feel to it, great fun :)

Looks fantastic... But the thumb... I have no idea why, but it bothers me. I just can't imagine someone holding a gun like that.

I hope it's actually optimised from release. No point releasing a groundbreaking military sim that looks mind blowing if nobody's pc can run it.

FFUR is a total conversion mod. It adds loads of new elements and improves graphics. It's very good, not sure how many use it online though. Hope this helps.
