I can understand if the devs say that real life has got in the way of the mod, fair enough. But if the've left us without and update for a year now then what's the point in starting development in the first place? Free or not, you can't just leave fans in limbo without explanation.
Well, Bohemia's long standing belief is that "if you build it, they will come". They make a comparatively basic game (a very good one though) and the community use the tools and make stuff like this. BIS is far from a huge devloper, but they are really the only one I admire. Their formula is sound.
How can you improve it!?
Very impressive stuff, on par with Stalker. I love how the character tries to break the window as the monster approaches in the video :)
The awesome is strong in this one...
But what if he doesn't wear a coat?
Thats the size of the helmets the Brits use. They are a bigger, rounder variety.
Looks good. Only gripe is how the hand is positioned. Wouldn't he hold the magwell rather than the magazine itself? Particularly at the end of the magazine.
Music sounds superb, concepts look amazingly well and the screenshots and videos get me excited. Tracking :)
The Grease gun is an alternative to the Thompson. It was brought in as a cheaper alternative so those that used Thompsons could easily have used the Grease gun.
Or how about some of that new spray on plaster stuff that you can't see! Wait...
Looks fantastic, but the gap is a little wide between the chamber and the receiver, I believe its called.
In Star Wars, the Empire was meant to resemble the Nazis, and a lot of weapons were decommissioned g=German weapons from WWII. Han Solos blaster was a Mauser C96 and the Stormtroopers standard blaster was similar to, as mentioned in a comment on it, the FG42.
I believe there's a red dot style scope at the front, and the rear scope is a magnifier. Ultimak.com
That's how it is in real life anyway, but this is Star Wars, so don't take my theory as completely true.
That was re-made on a new engine, so it was technically a new game. I wonder is Space Cowboys are just continuing the mod and then selling it or moving to a new engine (complete with license) or just buy a license for Cryengine.
That is impressive...
Wow, very impressive modelling. Loved the Mateba as well. The industry needs someone like you :)
You lacking crew members? If you need a graphics guy (Photoshop) I'll be glad to help.
Takes an age to kill someone in this :P
Can't wait for this, and the Pacific theatre mod :D
You mean a GrammArphone :P
Woah, I get an invite anyway. Thanks feillyne :)
Any news is good news (apart from a mod cencellation). I appreciate that the Overgrowth devs, for example, post lots of technical related news. I can understand that. Plus, they also add videos to show the topic in action. Although it's nice to show progress of a model or map being worked on.
One thing I really loved was when the Neotokyo devs released tracks from the soundtrack. That had me hooked :)
Looks good. I like that there's a Steam alternative and that it supports mods and indie games a lot better. Good luck with the project :)
Don't worry, I'm not going to beg for an invite :P
I am? Aww darn...
Shivers down th ol' spine. Brilliant :)
I could do a spot of voice acting if needs be, I do a bit for some friends' college projects.
Love the look of the mod. It seems more realistic than most mods which should add to the thriller aspect. Best of luck :)
I presume I have to start a new game for this to work?
The texture almost looks as if it is at a higher saturation, is that it? As if the blacks are lighter (comparing to the other side)?
What an awkward looking pistol :P Well modelled though.
