I don't think it's a good idea. Who would move your stuff, post office like in Fallout?
The way it is now is more realistic. It makes you plan what to leave behind and what to take with you.
More hard choices is a better choice :)
I can understand that.
What I can't understand is constant moaning about improved R2 and how 'ugly' it is etc. As Kazak said, everything could be tweaked by console commands and all effects could be disabled in the game options.
What's more, R1 mode has the old feeling weather system based on the old builds. We kept that especially for guys like you BC. You won't be tormented with this ugly, fancy dynamic weather designed for R2 that you hate so much for some reason. No terrible sunshafts, awful dynamic shadows and offputting bump maps. Everything is just flat, brown and beautiful.
Yes it is. From small flowers to large bushes
I had to clear it out of muties to make a photo. They kept to knock over my tripod :)
Thx, learned from the best :)
Of course they do! We stopped all development of LA and started to dig shelters. The ones we made in level editor might be not sufficient if all hell break loose.
Not anymore :)
Please read my post on the next page.
Regarding MISERY visuals: LA has different 'feel' than MISERY but in terms of engine there won't be much difference.
We are not sponsored by anyone and we have no ties to nVidia, AMD or any other hardware manufacturer. xRay has its limitations and we merely improving its capabilities. We are also small group with limited time.
The base for the improvements was the SoC R2 renderer. Now it produces much better visuals if you compare it to SoC. But don't expect miracles. It won't be the new CryEngine or Unreal Engine.
There is compatibility patch for MSO... somewhere. As for Armory Mod I have no idea.
Well, that 'bends' are the result of projection of the spherical view on the flat panorama image. On this screenshot there are no long straight lines close to the camera so it is unnoticeable. But on the next screen (with the barrier) you can see it clearly. Nothing could be done, that's how 3D-2D math works.
Gsc-game.com
There is no folder for options. All the options are available from the main menu during the game.
Yes it's real. It's very old though. It has been recorded in autumn 2010.
Actually it is UQoLtU&E + 1 = 43
MISERY will stay looking miserable. This look of the Zone is integral part of the concept for this mod. If you bored with its look you can install any of Absolute Nature 3 style over MISERY or sky textures from original AtmosFear 3. If you don't like any of them you can always make your own style simply by editing the textures.
In S.T.A.L.K.E.R games you can tweak this feature with console commands to your liking or turn it off completely.
It is in all S.T.A.L.K.E.R games from the beginning. It is handled by those mysterious r2_tonemap console commands. It has been properly used in LA. For instance when you come into the dark basement from the full day light you'll see the inside dark and gradually lightened up to mimic human eye adaptation.
Frankly, it depends on your monitor size and how close you sit (closer, bigger screen = bigger FOV)
And of course bigger FOV = more object visible = more power required.
Oh, you meant WHAT IS release date? You guessed wrong. We do know (as everybody else): when it's done :)
Yes, release date.
AF3 and AN3 are separate mods. Download AN3 from addons section. You can use AN3 Full or Lite. They're both compatible with AF3.
No, but maybe reading FAQ ( Moddb.com ) will clarify something.

Keep stalking!
Finding a way to the bar is easy. Back home... that's a different story :)
Of course not. It's for everybody.
cris64, don't answer here. PM dezodor so it will be harder to find it.
I can only guess but it seems they bought the rights to use Strugatsky's concept of the Zone. They could make another game set in the Zone created by aliens visiting the earth but not the Chernobyl exclusion Zone as this is GSC concept. They can use term 'stalker' for the characters roaming that zone (coming from 'Picnic') but they can't call them 'S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s' (again GSC concept). Their Zone could be filled with anomalies and artifacts (Strugatskys) but they have to be different than we know from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.
So don't expect S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 from them. If they make a game it must be set in completely different universe than S.T.A.L.K.E.R. And they can't even call it 'S.T.A.L.K.E.R.' (but they could call it simply 'Stalker' as the characters from the novel are called)
Works with S.M.R.T.E.R. after applying the merging patch: Moddb.com
I have no idea about RCOM though.
Loading previous levels? You mean savegames made before installing the mod? They won't work. Starting a new game is requred.
