There was no single tree there. We've added some: Moddb.com

Unfortunately it's impossible to remove just the vegetation geometry. You could delete levels dir but you'll loose all the AA2 appearance as the new trees don't use vanilla textures.

MISERY for CoP looks almost the same and Absolute Nature has preset looking similar to AA2. There is also MYSTERY for CS (based on looks of MISERY) so it's pointless really.

For hiding minipap (leaving compass): edit zone_map.xml (or zone_map_16.xml for widescreen)

There is MISERY that you've mentioned. You can also try AtmosFear+addons (Absolute Nature, Structures): Moddb.com

Quote:It would be great to have the "mod your weapons" feature from CS and CoP. You thing you could apply it?

Nope, AA2 is a closed project. Maybe in the future IF we decide to make AA3

Yes, it seems that the bump texture is too 'deep'. Thing is the fireplace is very low over the ground and this gives very hard shadows on that texture. However in the sunlight outside it looks much better. In this particular case the sunlit part is lit by the fire as well and the shadows add up.
We may lower the 'depth' of this bump if such issues persist.

BSOD may happen if your card can't cope with extended geometry in this mod. There is hundreds more hi-poly trees and the grass distance is increased. Hence enormous amount of polygons to chew by your GPU.
Try to lower grass distance by re-installing the mod with another option. You can also lower object quality and vision distance in advanced graphics options of the game.

r2_sun_near controls how far the hi-res shadow is rendered. Better to leave it at default (AA2) value. Try to fiddle with r2_sun_near_border instead. I had this issue as well and managed to fix it by reducing that value a bit.

Does it disappear after applying it in the console and re-appear after game load?
Some console tweaks are applied on game load to make sure all visuals are properly set.

If you want to change them edit tadek_spawns.script. Look for set_console_on_start() and set_console_on_load() functions.

You can comment out the lines of the code and change them manually in console
OR
edit the values directly in script.

First of all make sure your card is capable of running the mod. It extends the geometry of the levels twice and uses the hi-res textures. If your card is below 1GB you may encounter problems.

Download the latest drivers for your GPU. If it still happens try to lower the grass distance by reinstalling the mod with other option. You can also lower the vision distance, object quality and texture quality in advanced graphics options of the game.

More of this we've added hundreds of hi quality trees and bushes and tripled the grass draw distance and increased the size of textures. So the amount of stuff to process by the GPU is much bigger than any other mod for SoC. Don't you think this would kill some FPS?

Additionally the LA global map uses different scale than SoC. For instance on SoC PDA global map Cordon takes about 1/3 of the map width. On LA global map it's only 1/5

Counting overall explorable area on all maps (levels) I'd say that it certainly doubled if not tripled :)
