Oof, even for an alpha this mod is turning out really great. The models are crazy detailed and proportionate (I know a lot of credit probably goes to SWC and others, but still :p) and I love a lot of the unique characters/troops we see, such as the Senate Commandos. One question I do have, are you thinking of implementing a larger-scale battle mod to fit the huge numbers (or put in reinforcements since I'm not seeing many reinforcements in battles), or are you planning on shrinking party sizes down?

Anyways, great work on the mod and keep it up ^^

Hmm... Kind of lost on the progression of the questline. Did the first part with taking care of that looters hideout, but after that it's been about 4 in-game days and I haven't found any progression to the story. Anything specific I need to do?

Anyways, I really love this mod. It has a certain charm to it that few other mods tend to give. Can't wait to experience the rest of the story you guys have to tell :)

How does one recruit Gold Cloaks and Kingsguard in this mod? Is it possible?

Couple more questions I have - when creating a village, there's an option to convert it to a town. When attempting to click on this option, the page resets and nothing happens. Also, when attempting to upgrade a fort, the captain says it'll take about a week. I waited an in-game month, and he says the men are hard at work still.

Not trying to complain ofc :P Just pointing out bugs for ya that I see. I really do love this mod and all the work you've put into it. It's been a great experience with many gamesaves I've played on so far. I've merely experimented with the more late-game concepts and I seem to run into a lot of bugs/mishaps on that road :P

I seem to have ran into a bug. When conquering towns, you're unable to do anything in them aside manage the garrison. Can't visit the hall, can't visit tavern, etc.

Huh, I must have missed those. I'll go look again! And it's fine, bugs are common :P Thanks for the info! Keep up the good work on this mod :)

The majority of this is really good. I love exploring new time periods and learning of the factions, same with fantasy bits. A few bugs to report though:

1) I don't believe timber is accessible, which limits some of the functions of this mod such as fortress and village construction. There are no lumber yards in this mod.
2) Salt Mines get you stuck in a menu you can't back out of.

And a random question, how does one get Roman troops?

I'm curious if you guys are going to stick with the vanilla combat system, or will you be using the improved system that is seen in mods like Floris?

You're right :P Plus, the amount of detail in those armors is insane.

Regarding the ringwraiths, depending on how you implement them into the game, will they keep their LOTR robed look, or will they have their independent armours from the Hobbit movies?

I have the game on disc too, and it works just fine for me when I click on the Third Age Reforged.bat file in the mods directory.

For some odd reason, the Rhunic Dragon Wrath crossbowmen will not fire. I've played three different scenarios with them in there, and they refuse to fire no matter the circumstance. I've disabled skirmish, enabled skirmish, disabled fire arrows, enabled fire arrows, put them at a decent range, had them 30 feet from the enemy, etc. They just refuse to do anything when it comes to attacking.

I know this is unrelated, but if this is possible - is it also possible to put a scout trooper skin onto a stormtrooper, removing that 49 level grind to unlock a single skin? One of the only reasons I actually wanted to play Battlefront is to be a Scout Trooper.

This is a very excellent mod by the way, I really love the detail put onto the units and vehicles :P Dat black boba, though.

I've encountered a problem. Upon starting a Rhun campaign, the game immediately crashes and says "Medieval II Total War has encountered a problem". Attempted a custom battle, and the same thing happened. Is there something I did wrong here?

Strange because I had no problems with TA mod on its own.

The mod I'm playing in is BitW, but the armor textures are hauled over from TLD - Film Edition. Good eye :P I love that you're using the TA:TW meshes though, the faction in that mod is really well done.

I'm so glad at all the work being put into this mod. The expansion into making Rhun as aesthetic of a faction as possible is my favorite thing. I remember rehauling the Rhun faction to the best of my abilities in other mods to create the greatest aesthetic feel for me.

I remember making this, even editing a face texture to give the little blackness to the eyelids.

I have a question - though the patches are in a random date order, are we supposed to patch 0.0.1 to 0.0.2, to 0.0.3, to 0.0.4? Or are we to download 0.0.3 first, then 0.0.4, then the 0.0.1 to 0.0.2, which is the order of the dates released?

I have a question, does anyone else have a problem with constant regeneration of lords and kings coming back into the frey after a day or two tops with a full army? While playing as Rhun, I noticed that every time we attempted to besiege a location, we would be bombarded by battle after battle of every northern opposing faction, even after all three were defeated they would return once more with a full scale army. It's pretty impossible to get any progress done when this happens. I didn't notice this happening in the south when I helped Harad and Dunland take Osgiliath West and Hornsburg. For some reason I have noticed that my king will follow parties that are half way across the map, which is something I've never seen happen in Warband or any of its mods, which I think is the reason for the non-stop bombardments.

Note: I did mess around with the gameplay tweaks in the camp menu a bit, but I'm not entirely sure what a couple of them do.

Other than that, though, I really like this mod. Such beautiful aesthetic representation of the movies. Never thought I'd actually enjoy playing as a regular Orc :P But the one I made was insanely terrifying.

I hope they delve relatively deep into Rhun lands with a few settlements and villages and what not, even if the names are made up. Third Age: Total War is a good place to steal some names from, since it has a Rhun campaign with town names :P

Something I've noticed in Warband mods is that some mods feature exclusive unique weapons/armors hidden in locations on the map that you have to find. Might be a cool idea if Bannerlord supports this to throw a couple of those in there :P (Honestly, I personally would love to find Khamul's armor from the Hobbit stashed somewhere, but that's a long stretch xD)

But yeah, just a suggestion to have unique weaponry/armors hidden on the map/in maps :P

FINALLY, I've been waiting for not only an Egyptian mod, but perhaps an Egyptian mod that may implement the mythology to go with it. I love Set/Anubis for their dog heads xD I'm extremely hyped for this mod.

Are you guys also planning on a Rhun rework? :P Not particularly fond of the barbaric look they have in TLD, and would very much like to see the Rhun faction having the movie armor.

Still, finally someone is doing something like this for TLD xD

I'm glad he's a Rhun fanatic like myself xD This might not be entirely canon, but the Third Age Total War mod has some really good units and backstory for Rhun (if he's looking for city names and what not) as a design for the Rhunic faction. Just a suggestion :P

Anarkhi - - 60 comments @ Rhun Armour

I hope to see Rhun as either it's own separate faction, or an allied faction amongst the eastern tribes/evil men. Bannerlord has some really good clothing/armor templates that give the outfits life, that some mods have failed to grasp the true beauty of Rhunic armor. TLD is a beautiful mod all around, but I was insanely disappointed by the Rhun faction in that game, and BitW had some of it, which was fun, but the mod itself never felt right and the armors just never worked out for me. I loved other aspects of that mod though :P But yeah, for that reason I am heavily stoked for this mod. The amount of detail to replicate the armor from the movies will be awesome.

But yeah, aside Warband, the only mods that have Rhun in them are strategy games, which are nice, but doesn't give that feel of a Rhun soldier Warband has. I greatly look foward to seeing this mod for Bannerlord :3

The "giants" are from Warhammer Fantasy, and there's currently a mod with them called Warsword Conquest. Grim Age: Ostlan Campaign also uses them, but it's an outdated version and the developers abandoned it for Warsword Conquest.
