Perisno is a total conversion light fantasy mod based in the fictional land of Perisno. From battling factions of all sizes, encountering unexpected events, and discovering unique opportunities, Perisno is full of opportunities. Seek total domination or support another Lord in the rise of their kingdom. Only you, the player, can get a proper feel of what it is really like.

Perisno implements a fitting array of fantasy races; elves, dwarves, and giants. There are mythological creatures and magic; though magic is out of the player's reach. You can also choose to wield powerful relics like the mighty Flamebringer and Skyfall.

Numerous factions of both major and minor importance together bring different strengths, balance, and styles of war to the field. And remember, no one is created equal. Some factions are purposely insuperior in certain situations. You may find taking a town or castle from Elintor exceedingly difficult, but then you turn around and crush twice your number in elves with a group of Drachenritters in the field.

From heroic knights to opportunistic bandits and the lost Kingdom of Perisno itself, the player can ally or oppose whoever they like, as every faction has the potential to gain power and even dominate Perisno. However, all who venture must be wary; for the land of Perisno is full of dangers and enemies at every corner. The unwary traveler may find themselves suddenly opposing invading forces from lands unknown, or even the Dreaded One itself.

Greetings. Reus from Perisno here.

As you may, or may not, have noticed, the long-awaited 0.8 update has been released at last. The update has been in development for years, but was finally released right as we entered the new year. 0.8 is full of new features, changes and fixes. Let's break a few of them down in case you're not up to date.

  • 5 new major factions: Aroulo, the Kuu-lan Horde, Cretas, Geldar (formerly known as the Bluewood Elves) and two factions consisting of giants - Sut and Bakhal.
  • Giants are now a playable race.
  • The Zann invasion was re-coded from scratch.
  • All items and troops were rebalanced from scratch.
  • Textures were optimized, and almost every low-quality item has been reworked.
  • Over a hundred new items.
  • And many more features...

So what's next?

The team is in full swing. Several hotfixes have been released following 0.8, and 0.81 is also in development. The team has recently expanded a bit, and two ex-developers have returned to assist. The team has also acquired a new coder. You may also have noticed that our ModDB page has been fairly broken for a while now. The background is completely white, and some of the formatting is rather awkward. The white background was caused by the link to the old background no longer working. But don't worry, a full rework is in the works, and 99% finished. Just adding some final touches, and it will be updated before you know it. We are also in contact with some graphic designers who are currently designing new logos and headers for our pages. My personal task is to touch up our pages. There will be an updated list of factions, companions, quests and more. Things will look nice, I assure you.

You mentioned 0.81! When is it coming and what can we expect?

Well, we don't really have a whole lot to tell you at the moment. I can say that there will be some updates to the in-game UI and textures. Maybe formations. Don't expect 0.81 right away though. We're still working out what we want to change and implement in the next update. The release date is still to be decided.

But while waiting, make sure to check out the threads in our Perisno sub-forum on the Taleworlds forums. New hotfixes are actively being released one by one. They will also be released on ModDB, but if you want to get them early, make sure to keep an eye on the thread I linked above.

I suppose this is really all I have to say at the moment. Keep an eye on ModDB and the 0.8 thread to keep up to date with the new hotfixes and releases.

I dunno if this is a bug or what, but if you retire from serving in the army of a vassal, then the quest *enlist in the army of so and so* will not finish and be there for ever. After I became a vassal, I didnt get a banner ( I have over 1000 renown ,my own city ). I dont know if thats related to the quest not being properly finished or something else.

No such plans.

In Mount&Blade; there have to be empty areas around the playable one. Sea, mountains, deserts, whatever, but somethings has to be there. Otherwise you will see map borders that look unimmersive af.

This mod is incredibly awesome and I love it. I am a lover of fantasy mods and have played Pendor and all the good ones. I hope that this mod continues to be in development and never dies. It combines elements from fantasy and medieval themes and even has a flaming sword which is incredibly well done! I have only been playing 0.52 for a while but I am in love with it as it is so amazing. Some people, like the guy who rated it a 1 because of not being able to play as an elf, seem to forget that this…
