The Source SDK launcher for hammer is no longer working, and you will have to open it manually.

If you want to open Hammer for Half-Life 2, navigate to C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Half-Life 2\bin\hammer.exe

Perhaps a cylinder with 6 sides?Or just reshape brushes, by splitting on a certain side by pressing CTRL + F (not recommended if you don't know how to handle it, since the modified brush can become invalid if done wrong).
