The Source Developers group is for people and teams developing mods and games using Valve's Source Engine.
Most Source development activity goes on at the official Valve Developer Community wiki, or on Steam; this group is more like an outlet of those on ModDB than a community in its own right.

Source Developers now has its very own set of forums.
You'll notice that they all have very specific roles: this is because if you want to talk about something in general, it's better to do so in the site's central forums. More people will see your topic, and we won't get duplicated threads.
If you have any suggestions, comment on this news item!
