Welcome to Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith Remastered! This installation file will install the JKGFXMOD, the Mysteries of the Sith Neural Upscale Texture Pack, Jedi Knight Neural Upscale Texture Pack and the Enhancement Mod for JkGfxMod (MotS Edition) 0.40 all together in a nice installer! The FOV Mod is also been added. This also patches the game with the unofficial patch. All mods can be downloaded and installed separately if you desire.

*Note the latest version of the mod is not used since I could not get it to work. Later versions of the installer I will try to add the more updated versions of theJKGFXMOD.

Mysteries of the Sith Neural Upscale Texture Pack
This is a replacement texture pack for Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith. These textures were upscaled using ESRGAN and a custom model. The Jedi Knight Neural Upscale Texture Pack also needs to be installed to your Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith directory, because the games share a large amount of assets. This texture pack is intended for use by mod authors as a base for their own high-resolution retexture projects. Although this texture pack is usable without further changes, the textures in this pack are quite raw. Most of them have artifacts from the upscaling process, which in a complete effort should be manually removed by an artist.

The MotS version of the companion compilation pack for the JkGfxMod (version 0.4.0 at minimum) and the Jedi Knight Neural Upscale Texture Pack - features higher detail models from JKE, darthbabe96 and the JK community in addition to readjusted lightsabers and muzzle flashes.

FOV mod for MOTS. This makes the game more playable on modern wide screen monitors. The Field of view in the original game is small since this game is about 22 years old. Enjoy!

Installation

Just run the installer and select your Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith game directory and configure using the config shortcut and launch the mod! If you have issues please change config settings trial and error will help you get this mod going.

Configuration

Before you launch the mod you might need to change the configuration. To do this just open up the configuration shortcut. To configure right please refer to configuration guide shortcut.

everything seems to work but when i enter the second level and start firing i get this multicolored texture frame instead of the fire effect. it works fine in the first level. how can i fix this?

Love this mod makes the game like new. I have a request though is there any chance you can update the Mysteries of the Sith Secret Level to go with the rest of the game. Its the last thing that missing from this game.

Its good, but there's some issues like when Mara gets eaten by the Rancor, it glitches back to the original skin textures, then immediately switches back to the rancor's reskin you guys did. I honestly wish that someone would redo the game cutscenes. All in all its good but it needs a bit more polishing. Keep up the good work!

Could you add a 115 FOV like you did with the Dark Forces 2 Remastered mod? 120 FOV has some visual clipping issues with guns, and 100 seems way too low.

THis mod looks great but is a stuttering un optimized mess!

Not playable for me at all, and my system is a beast!

i73960x 4.5ghz

3 titan x Nvidia GPUs
32gb ddr3 2133mhz ram

i tried just about everything to make this game run smooth . it just cant. there has got to be a way to make the mod pre-load all the textures before starting each level. that way there is none of this injecting/streaming while you play. any time there is an explosion or there is lots of action going on. the game becomes a slide show!

please fix!!

Yeah, it'd be ideal if the texture injection could be included in the actual level loading process (similar to the High Def pack for Duke Nukem 3D, for example, where the level loading times are noticeably longer than in the standard game, but at least the cache gets burning hot before the level starts).

I might try giving a temporary workaround a shot: something like the 1st person fist model actually secretly including all the textures used in the standard game (+ EMJK) so that if you switch to the fists at the start of a level and punch the air for a while until you got rid of the lag, you'd have all the textures in the game loaded in the cache.

Might of course not work, given the age of the game (and how fiddly it is in general) - and it would break the immersion especially in the Dark Jedi levels - but sadly I can't come up with any other "solutions" at the moment. :\

I have the same problem. Great idea, but it is nor playable for me. It seems that the game is not good optimized for Laptop.
