After a much better release than I anticipated, I have returned with fixes! Perhaps the biggest issue for most people who played the mod was that the zombies became passive. That was the worst issue the mod had, and it was fixed in a grand total of ten seconds; so in terms of release problems, I don't think it could have gone better. I also copied the various bug lists that people provided me and worked through them as best I could, so quite a few problems the mod had are gone now.
Also, to see the mod have an 8.9 rating is incredible. To be quite honest I wasn't sure how the project would be received with so little actual gameplay. But it seems my faith in the community wasn't misplaced as everyone seemed to understand that this project, despite being a year old, is still in its infancy. I have some interesting features I'm working on right now for the next update, as well as a full tutorial on how to set up Hammer for Zombie Colony.
Just a quick note: this is not the full mod. You simply need to extract this over your current install, and let it overwrite the files it wants to. If you don't have the mod yet, download the full release, then install this over it. You do not need to restart steam for the update, simply overwriting the files is enough.

The first official alpha build of Zombie Colony. To install, simply extract it into the SourceMods folder of your Steam directory. It requires Half Life...

Hey guys, had a quick question about an issue I have been having with all source mods. When I install a source mod, it has no problem downloading and showing up on my steam games list, but when I try to run any source mod (I have about 6 or so I have, but have been unable to play due to this problem) it attempts to validate the files for it. Then what happens is it says, steam has successfully validated all files, and right after it says unable to access steam servers at this time, and it continues to do the same thing no matter how many times I restart steam. I have been trying to resolve this issue for several months but have had no luck. I have also tried right clicking the source mod to manually validate the files, but it does not give me the option to do so. Any ideas on how I can resolve this issue?

Is this the end for zombie colony <\3
Nope. I'm just quite busy, and working to get the mod on Desura.
Hey i cant open the game, it saids some kind of error, do i need anything for it? it just jumps me out of the game before i see the menu, please help i really like the theme of this game D:
Oh nvm i got it fixed, not the mods problem. i have some ideas thou : materials for defence like barriers and guns require materials to build, they have to gather resource for it.
Looks like very ambitious and big project
Good luck with that
Maybe start campaign on Greenlight?
I've thought about it. I'd like to have the project be a bit more polished before I do that. I'm working on getting it onto Desura though.
This mod has a lot of potential and looks very interesting, im curious to see what you guys do with it.
