The Empire has fallen and a New Republic is born out of the conflict. But in the ashes of civil war, yet another life stirs...
Improved mesh, re-unwrapped UVWs, new texture. Improved turret rigging so that it will also pitch up or down to target units at different elevations, such as on a hill or aircraft.
Now that's pretty amazing.
Thank you :)
fantastic work Farseer!
Hundred times better then the default one, amazing work Farseer!
Stunning...
Marvelous job on it!
impressive!
Holy sh*t! My words can't even describe how amazingly detailed, beautiful and impressive this looks. In fact I don't think that I've ever seen something more detailed for ground units in Empire at War. This is...perfection! And even yet I'm out of breath... Great great work!

Thank you everybody for the generous praise! I'm glad you all like it so much! There are a few tiny things left: I need to add damage alternates so that fire/sparks/wear show up the more damaged it becomes. Then I need to add a death clone (as with all vehicles in the mod). Then it's on to the ATST.
That sounds really awesome.
May I ask what its default color for GC will be?
Some kind of orange like the original one or will it be completely grey/white?
I never liked the rusty orange that was used in the vanilla game. I know they were going for an off-red color like what is used in the movies but they overshot their mark and got the color entirely wrong, IMO.
Most New Republic units will be either a dark/off-red or blue. Y-Wings being one exception as they are a darker yellow. I'm thinking these guys will be red. Completely grey/white is reserved more for Imperial units.
Yeah I agree on the original orange, it's way too bright I think.
If I may suggest something (again... lol), for me NR units would work very well with dark green markings like the green squadron A-Wing you posted a while ago.
I'm not entirely sure why, but my brain says green markings = New Republic.
Dark red is okay too, but imho it looks a little bit too evil and is more reminiscent of the old Republic.
Red is iconic because of Red Squadron that later became the famous Rogue Squadron. The Rebel Crest is also red and it became incorporated into the symbol of the NR as well. However, it was blue when it was added to the NR crest:
Starwars.wikia.com
But as the article says, more often shown in red.
Really though it all comes down to whatever the unit colors are...so it can be anything we want and green was my next choice. Lol
As I said red is not that bad either. I guess my mistake was to think about the red in the actual picture here, which is too dark but of course that's because it's a teamcolor. lol
If its more of a regular but washed-out kind of red and not that Sith-Red it will be perfectly fine.
...
Don't mind me, I guess I'm way too much thinking about color tones right now. Just continue making awesome stuff. Please.
Haha. Will do.
Excellent workmanship, the_Farseer!
Thank you, as always :)
Simply amazing. Well done!
Thank you very much!
WOW
So Star Wars! Such graphics!
These...they aren't boxes any more! Still best against infantry, I take it?
Also, I think if the red is washed out it'll have that Old Republic 'diplomatic red' look. Which...is really strange, in my opinion, on a military unit (a la the Venators and star fighters of the Old Republic).
Dark blue/green would also look nice, I think.
Of course, an alternative is that all of the rebel units have a different color. Then they can be as fabulous as the Fabulous Empire (or at least, the Empire's Rainbow Scouts).
Eh, I like the red. Yes, they are still best against infantry. Think of it like a quad half-track "meatgrinder" from WWII.
Thank you so much for improving the T2B! The original was just so bland. It was almost unbearable to use them, at least for me it was...
Dude... BAD-***!
I like the new design, though the old one had its own charm to it. With the lower guns being longer and the upper ones thicker I always figured it would have been better to make them two different weapons entirely. The bottom would have been anti-vehicle laser cannons and the top a pair of heavy repeating blasters with extra-thick cooling jackets so it can fire a constant stream of blaster bolts.
