Having been sent back to Black Mesa, Gordon Freeman finds himself at the receiving end of an active Sector B teleportation laboratory. In the course of exploring the underground base once again, he finds that he is not the only one. The game is a work-in-progress and will continue with the next chapter in a few months.

I've uploaded the first public release of Provenance. Download it in the Downloads section. Be sure to click that 'read more' link to see the awesome people who've helped me complete this -- they definitely deserve it.

Platform Atrium 2
Sector B Test Chamber Zombie

I've also uploaded the map sources for any developers who are interested in seeing how some things are done without having to use a decompiled mess. You can check that out here:

Have fun.

And check out my website for information on my first Left 4 Dead level, too! It's set in a mall!

Edit: I didn't really wanna mention it but this was made as a portfolio piece -- a quick run-through of various settings, a puzzle or two, a battle arena experience, and some cool ramp-up to an end. Don't take your black screens and lousy computer crashes too seriously. And yeah, the black screen at the end should have discontinued the game but game_end is broken. Whoops.

You should change the name of the beginning place Gordon started. Sector B is a Coolant Reserve facility not teleportation labs. Rename it to either Lambda Core, Sector H Teleportation or something like that.

Here's an edited entity lump so that you can fight the HECU. Just save the file to the maps folder.

I managed to make this work without any errors (apart from a random crash on both map) and I have to say this is an awesome work.

Too bad most users won't be able to play this.
and even more unfortunate that there was no more content released.

Thanks, that's nice to hear. Sorry about the lack of content, though. I'm trying my hand at UE4 these days and it's been a blast so far. :)

Cool mod, brah! Don't worry, I got a fix to this mod. Link is here: Steamcommunity.com

Although I got stuck at the part where I first fight the military. The game might think they're still rebels so I can't kill them, but they can kill me. :/

I think you could get around that theoretically by using the console command "ai_relationship !player hate npc_citizen" I think that is how it would work. Correct me if I'm wrong.
