I'm still working on my realistic MP7 20mm and MP7 GP-30 smg1 skins with XSI for the retail HL2 so yea hopefully ill be able to share those with everyone when im done.

Looks nice. Doesn't look very different than HL2's version though.
They're the same gun, that's why. HL2's SMG is an MP7.

it's a pretty gun, but **** renders. Show us what it looks like in game.
The model isn't going to look much different in Source after phong, env maps, etc are applied.
The problem is HLMV sucks chode and is horrible for show casing models, so I use Marmoset.

Yeah because the leak totally doesn't have an MP7.
That doesn't even make sense.
Like we said before, we are not doing a carbon copy of the leak, we are remaking assets as we see fit. If you want to see ugly leak models, please visit one of the dozen other leak mods out there.

Sleek, also it doesn't look like it's able to do Valve's fancy tricks - like shooting grenades and stuff!
That's because it won't be able to do that ;)! The OICW will take care of that task instead.
And how would you combine a grenade launcher with scoping? By making GL a toggleable (switchable) weapon mode (so that you press a key and it switches to alternative fire), or making a scope bound to another key? I personally went with the first way.
I also suddenly wonder: what did you use, or what are you using for your modelling? Would 3ds be any good for stuff like this?
We're using 3ds Max 2012. For MI we have a button that toggles firing mode.
Well then I guess it would just be a skill matter for me. Though I use 2009 version (can't handle the newer ones).
This MP7 makes me want to play Killing floor.

It's not like the model took that long to make. Less than a week total.
