This is a small program that allows you to edit the config file for metro 2033. This will allow people to edit more advance items that you can not in game. How to use the program: Click the find metro button, and find the config file in your steam userdata folder. This is not the one in the metro folder, If you try and use that one steam will not grab it. for example here is mine D:\Program Files\Steam\userdata\45348153\43110\remote

For your information, I made a program to replace this one as it wasn't working. Check the mods section.

So I took a look at the source code, the program is basically expecting every setting to be located at a specific line.

The line indexes were probably valid when the game was released but changed after the game was updated. Right now, the program is crashing because it's expecting "aim_assist" at line 15 while it's currently "unbindall".

There's nothing I can do to fix it without redoing the whole parsing logic.

Anyway, as I was saying a few days ago, I made a program which doesn't have this issue and is much more complete.

You can find it here: Moddb.com

Doesn't do anything..............Pointed it at the correct cfg.file.......saved changes.......will not launch the game from the launcher and it has no effect in game. FOV doesn't change..no vsync......nothing.

Instructions are useless. Can't believe it does nothing.

It tells me that I have n unexpected problem and that the start index can not be longer than length of string. What the hell does this mean?

It means that your start index number is larger than the given space in the given space for a string, depending on your system, this can be a 32 bit or 64 bit string. so over 1024 (32 bit) or 4096 (64 bit) characters long.

Any chance to run the game in 640*480 resolution with this launcher?
