Metro 2033 Config Editor v1.34
Full Version 4 commentsThis is the v1.34 update for the Metro 2033 Config Editor.
This is a config editor for the original Steam version of Metro 2033 (not Redux).
It allows you to edit most game settings as well as some hidden settings (such as FOV, cheats or windowed mode) without running the game.
- Windows 7 or later
- .NET Framework 4.6.2
- Visual Studio 2017 (developers only)
You can place the program anywhere on your computer. However, it'll be easier for Steam/game detection if it's placed where the game executable is located.
1. Run the program.
2. Customize your settings.
3. Make sure all paths are specified.
4. Hit Save.
5. Run the game.
You can reload the config by pressing the Reload button.
You can use the Start game (non-Steam) button to run the game from the specified path.
You can use the Start game (Steam) button to run the game using the Steam browser protocol.
-log: when closing the program, it will create a LOG file in the same directory than the program.

Hi. Does exist something similar on redux at steam?
Nope, Redux has slightly different settings and its config file is in a different location.
I started porting this program to the original version of Last Light after v1.29 but had to put in some work to add controller settings in this one. I've never had the motivation to merge those changes to Last Light since :(.
The original Metro 2033 is free to get on Steam for 24h. Now is your chance to grab it!

thanks for updating. Can you add a option to en/disable the controller?
Gonna look into it but I don't recall a menu option to do it besides plugging/unplugging the controller. Why would you need this option?
[edit]: found a solution on Pcgamingwiki.com, will integrate it shortly. If you can't access the download link, you can get the file from here too: Jotti.org
Released a new version with the fix from PCGamingWiki, I don't have a 360 controller myself so please let me know if it works!
I'll also add controller options in v1.32.
[edit]: made a mistake when adding the new setting, it's reversed, so ticking the Enabled checkbox actually disables controllers. It'll be fixed in the next version!
All fixed! Let me know if it's all good now.
I'd like to let you know that 1.29 will most likely be the last version of this tool as I don't see what else I could do.
From now on, I will spend time porting it to Metro: Last Light.
Spoke too fast, noticed a bunch of mistakes on my latest release while working on MetroLastLightConfigEditor (which is 99% done btw). They're all fixed now and I also added some more stuff. Enjoy :)
