I can't say when we plan to release the second version but I think it's about time for you people to know what to expect in the second release of the mod:

Two new factions: Abbasid Sultanate and Sultanate of Rum.

About 73 new units (including the ones for the two new factions) that expand the time-frame of Medieval Kingdoms Total War to about the first parts of the Hundred Years War. This brings the total number of units to around 205.

New Units by Faction:

Kingdom of England:

Bill Militia
Miles
Longbow Militia
Heavy Billmen
Retinue Longbowmen
High Era Knights
Armored Sergeants

Kingdom of France:

Voulge Militia
Light Men at Arms
Routiers
High Era Men at Arms
High Era Knights
Halberdiers
French Archers

Holy Roman Empire:

Sergeants
Urban Militia
Halberdiers
High Era Knights

County of Flanders:

Goedendag Militia
Flemish Pike Militia
Armored Pikemen
Heavy Goedendagers
High Era Knights

Kingdom of Hungary:

Hungarian Swordsmen
Pavisiers
Stradiots
Halberdiers
High Era Knights
Castellans

Republic of Venice:

Stradiots
Condottieri Archers
Condottieri Infantry
Condottieri Pikemen
High Era Knights

Latin Empire:

Stradiots
Communal Cavalry
Communal Infantry
Communal Archers
communal Spearmen

Kingdom of Poland:

Polish Swordsmen
Castellans
High Era Knights
Polish Noble Infantry
Polish Noble Cavalry
Slav Spearmen

Kingdom of Scotland:

Scots Pike Militia
Scots Guard
Noble Swordsmen
Noble Pikemen
High Era Knights

Kingdom of Castile:

Halberdiers
Rodeleros
High Era Knights
Mercenary Archers

Kievan Rus:

Rus Guard Axemen

Mongol Horde:

Mongol Light Foot Archers
Mongol Spearmen

Most of the current units have been revamped or adjusted to make them more unique and distinct to their respective factions. Some units have been changed to be a high era unit like the Zweihander and Venetian Heavy Infantry.

New unit cards and loading screens.

New armor and weapon values that should make battles slightly longer.

Polearm units have been given the "pike phalanx" ability and have been buffed.

The aforementioned pike phalanx has been changed so it more closely resembles Medieval 2.

Fixed the faction assignment issue that was causing some people to not get certain factions. Basically this was because some of the factions were on DLC faction slots.

Other minor bugfixes and tweaks.

I think that that is it. Stay tuned for more promotional stuff throughout this upcoming week.

why is the majority of melee units equipped with axes? do you guys have problems with swords or something? i mean axes are cool and having an axe fetish is nice too, but when the unit is called something like "hungarian swords" or "polish swords" "noble swordsmen" and there are NO swords, but axes and blunt weapons instead its kinda silly... where are the swords seriously?

in english language their nation is Magyar, in german language Magyaren, in romanian language Maghiară, in croatian language Maghiară, in slovak language Maďar, in czech language Maďar, in serbian language Mађарски, nations: slovaks, serbs, croats, romanians and germans lived together in kingdom of Hungary and everyone call them Magyars (translate to English). Hungarians was only political name for 6 nations who lived in one kingdom and official language was latin from year 1000 to 1844. Anyway 80% of hungarian army were slovaks and germans and 20% were magyars. St.Stephen destroyed allmost all magyar tribes with help by slovak nobles from Nitra and german knights from Bavaria and then he founded kingdom of Hungary.

something about kingdom of Hungary: St.Stephen destroyed almost all magyar tribes(their leader was Koppány) with help by slovak nobles from Nitra and with german knights from Bavaria, official language from year 1000-1844 was latin in all kingdom. En.wikipedia.org , Commons.wikimedia.org , En.wikipedia.org , in year 1800 Total population of the Kingdom of Hungary(without Croatia) = Magyars had 35% population. Magyarization, started in year 1800. And Between 1850 and 1910 Magyar speaking population increased by 106.7%, while the increase of other ethnic groups was far slower: Serbians and Croatians 38.2%, Romanians 31.4% and Slovaks 10.7% . So 110 years about lies, fictions and propaganda. And this mentality continues in magyar heads to nowdays... no comment. I hate liers and false people, and their state ,,Hungary,, today is very big lie. Correctly today not ,,Hungary,, but Magyaria in english language same like Serbia, Slovakia, Croatia, Romania, because all these states lived in one kingdom and official language was latin. Magyar falsed a lot of things during magyarization in 19-20.century especially history.
