So my team member Ltd. got a PM from the leader of the 1257 AD mod from the M&B Warband community, Kuauik. We do not have permission from him to carry over "his" assets from Rome 2 to the Attila version. His logic is that he doesn't like our attitude toward the items we use from the OSP community and "his work". This also ties into the remarks I sometimes get that this mod is a frankenstein mod of taleworlds assets and that we did next to nothing on our end. Oh my where to begin....

Let's start with the attitude "point". I have acted defensively a couple of times, but that's because people like Kuauik and Cozur felt the need to straight up call our design choices . Nothing constructive in their remarks at all, just outright hostility because we didn't make our mod as accurate as he wanted us to make it. No respect for our design preference. He openly mocked my team mate Lord Giovanni, a person who's just started modding units because he hadn't reskinned his units as much as me. That alone is a kick below the belt because he's the one team member who hasn't done as much original work as me and Ltd. On my end I've taken the open source surcoat textures and have made literally HUNDREDS of textures, taking me hours of time and effort since I based them off actual coats of arms. So the fact that Kuauik decided to mock this mod at all on that score is absolutely ridiculous. Kuauik also said spoke slander about TWC because he thinks that the community is full of flamers and torchers. Funny that the only people I see acting like that are more commonly associated with the Taleworlds forums but hey. Here's a couple of quotes from him if you don't believe me:

So I fail to see how our team are being the jerks here aside from the farce that if a mod doesn't go for accuracy it's not doing the assets justice.

Let's talk about another thing while I'm at it. The nature of modding is rarely making tons of truly original models. The modding world is very much taking something from some place else and MODifying it. That why we call them MODS. What's laughable is a lot of the stuff that people say we take from 1257 are not actually theirs either. They take many of their assets from the same places as we do. A Don't believe me? We literally did the exact same thing and yet they don't get the same accusations that this mod does. I probably have done more texture work than the entire 1257 AD team and yet our mod is the doctored one? If it seems like I'm being a dick right now that's because I am sick and tired of these baseless insults and attacks on this mod by people who clearly don't check their own sources before lashing out against others. I didn't want to make a thread like this. I wanted to keep a good relationship with 1257 AD and all the other mods and modders we borrowed base assets from. But Kuauik has forced my hand. So in the second Rome 2 version of this mod everything that was exclusively made by Kuauik and the 1257 AD team will be taken out of this mod. I hope this enlightens people on what's been going on. (BTW I say base assets because we use them just like that, as a BASE.)

Some of the new factions require the dlc's to play. The mongols require the nomadic tribes pack for example.

Yeah.. As i recall i maybe had more too. But i too recall it was 1 file that you paste in your data file open your ModManager, select the file(mod) and lunch the game from the ModManager.
