***STATUS UPDATE FROM THE BATTLEFIELD***

The C&C Tiberian Dawn Redux mod makes a return with the release of version 1.5.3! This release includes a massive gameplay overhaul with updated visuals, a new shader system, a new UI, reworked balancing, a rebuilt AI, several new skirmish maps, and four additional campaign missions for the SPEC-OPS Campaign!

C&C Tiberian Dawn Redux v1.5.3 Release Trailer - ModDB

Thanks to the development of C&C Red Alert Redux, Tiberian Dawn Redux received some much needed code and AI improvements which has resulted in some noticeable gameplay/balancing improvements. The mod has also been going thru a slow visual overhaul over the past few years eliminating a lot of the experimental stuff from the "crazy graphics" era from '09-'18 along with finally overhauling the dated UI that's been in use since 2009. The mod also benefited from the implementation of ReShade phasing out the old ENB Shaders which has helped a great deal. This will give the mod a fresh new look with improved performance!

NEW AI AND MISSIONS:

This version of the mod includes an improved and optimized AI that uses more interesting tactics and even base creeps now. In addition, the SPEC-OPS missions from the N64 port of the original C&C are now implemented in the mod. As with previous work done with the mission making process, a lot of detail goes into designing and scripting the maps to be as accurate as possible but also including a few twists to improve upon the original. (including a better AI) There are two missions for both GDI and Nod.

NEW USER INTERFACE:

The mod has underwent a visual overhaul and has finally updated the UI that's been in use since 2009. This will give the mod a fresh new look, as seen below.

RESHADE IMPLEMENTATION:

I am pleased to announce C&C Tiberian Dawn Redux has now been upgraded with ReShade, this phases out the old ENB Shader used since 2009 which was known by many to be a performance hog and had issues with the mission briefing videos. Many opted to have it disabled as a result. This includes a boost to visual clarity, enhanced DOF fog/shadows, and also integrates Anti-Aliasing.
SPECIAL NOTE: Neither one of the shader systems are enabled with the GenLauncher release of the mod by request of the developer, as the files conflicted with GenTool's integration.

dont like the update, I have now missing edges on the map; was busy with mission 15 of GDI. a few rocketmen, flame infantry and a bradly come in and instantly destroy my guard tower and mammoth tank... something is off. Where can I download the previous version?

Are you using the GenLauncher/GenTool version? I have discovered GenTool doesn't play well with these mods, if so, best to disable it for now. That sounds like an issue other people have reported. Same with the RA Redux Demo. Not sure why. Personally I wished it wasn't enabled by default on there.

Yeah, im using genlaucher; the problem with the overpowered NOD seems to be solved, restarted the mission and all worked fine. The old units were replaced with new ones I guess and due to balancing the old ones were OP AF.

Though im still having missing terrain information to the left and right. It just shows water on the left and right 10% of the screen and it moves along with the screen when you scroll. I also had that in rise of the reds.

Yes that's definitely a GenTool issue, you need to go into GenLauncher's Options Menu and disable it. Make sure to select "Disable GenTool" and "Use Default Camera Height (recommended)" is also selected. That should likely fix those rendering issues with the mods.

It did solve the issue indeed, thanks alot.
What I'm wondering, the game in mission 13 and 15 of GDI campaign became very slow. Im using a thinkpad with 16GB RAM and i7-8665U CPU @ 1.90GHz 2.11 GHz with Intel UHD 620 graphics...
Generals works perfectly fine, but this MOD, even in the lowest settings becomes like a potato, even though its quite newer than when the mod came out first..
It felt like re-living to play the DOS version on my parents 486 DX with 33mhz ;) as a kid

Unfortunately the game engine is 20 years old, its likely a failing of its design. The scripting parameters and AI pathfinding design wasn't the best. Busier & more intense mission/skirmish maps may still have slowdowns, unfortunately. Also you might need to delete or disable the GameData.ini file in the Data/INI folder if you don't have a 3.0+ghz quad core or dedicated video card.

You will have to download and manually install the version provided here for now, the GenLauncher Developer is trying to fix compatibility issues with the Steam version of ZH as the file system has been changed. And Much Appreciated.
