That's not 1.4 problem. We have water reflection bug after Win Vista. We must use WinXP for correct water reflection.

Minimap doesn't have water texture. As we said, minimap is using terrain texture. It's color of terrain surface. There is bottum surface color in water area, but no water surface color.

It's related to OS version. We can't get correct reflection on water surface since Windows7.

Are you talking about water rendering (not minimap)? :D

I think this is using terrain texture. So buildings, ocean surface aren't displayed corretly. But the way is the most suitable for mod. Because any maps have terrain texture. We don't need additional work to use mod for any maps. Mod load terrain texture & display.

If we want to use true map image(aerial photograph), we just take screenshot on our own.
