Hi everyone!

As promised, I've released the development files for Nuclear Cataclysm today. With the development files, you can open the maps from NuclearCataclysm in the Crysis Sandbox 2 Editor, take a look behind the scenes, look how things were done or just mess around.
If you want use something from the maps for your own projects, feel free to do so, but please give proper credit. Also, I'd love to see what you do with it!

Here's the link to download including installation instructions:

A few words about the release:

I'm very glad that the mod apparently worked fine for most of you and you had no problems while playing. But I'm very sorry for everyone who wanted to play the mod with the Origin version of Crysis. At the release, I assumed the Origin version would work fine with the mod, just like the steam version does - but unfortunately, several players had severe problems while playing the mod with a Origin version.

Somehow, the additional Flowgraph Nodes from the Flowgraph Plugin System couldn't be loaded (amongst many other things), and as a result, most of the flow graphs in the game didn't work, resulting in broken AI, dialogs and mission objectives. I don't really know why, but I assume that the Origin version just doesn't have real mod support and can't be used to play the mod. I'm very sorry for that, I hope you understand.

But I'd like to thank everyone for all your nice and encouraging comments! I'm very happy that so many people like the mod, and I think the long development time really paid off now. Thanks again, and feel free to also leave a honest review! :)

I'm curious to know, do harder difficulty levels introduce larger enemy numbers compared to easier settings? That was an overlooked feature in the base game Crysis and I don't believe many mappers and modders thought to add that feature into their maps.

This is indeed a very nice concept, but I didn't really implement it in the mod (there are a few smaller things connected to the difficulty level, I think). A reason that crytek didn't use it could be that the AI count affects the performance quite heavily, so you would need a better system for the higher difficulty levels (at least using 2007 hardware). But that shouldn't be a problem nowadays :p

Is there any possibility to run this mod using Crysis Warhead ?

Sorry, you definitely need Crysis 1 for it. If you want to get it, I'd recommend to look on steam, maybe you can catch it in the sale for a few bucks :)

Wow, could it be a Crysis mod with similar gameplay, but none of the annoying cheesy alien crap? Love it, can't wait to play!

what an amazing ride, with an ending that annoyingly makes me lust for a sequel. fairly good voice acting with Nomad sounding excellent, solid map planning and story. a good number of enemies too, the shootouts got really intense in parts, even if the friendly AI suffered a massive brainfart in the trainyard/factory assault mission - the Marines ran right past the KPA troops as if they weren't even there. i only wish the whole thing was longer, let's say 10 hours, because it was that good.

Outside the trainyard/factory, I'm asked to open the gate for the marines, but I'm lost. Tried everything I could, but can't find a way to open the gate. Any tips? Thanks in advance!

I have a problem, When i run the .bat 64 it always has a black screen and will say Crysis is not responding, I've tried everything to fix this. I've also installed the mod correctly and my OS is windows 10 and CD version, Is there any way to fix this?

"...\Crysis\Bin64\Crysis.exe"
In the file properties select "Compatibility" (tab), then check "Run this program in compatibility mode", and choose "Windows Vista".

It's still crashing for me, is there any other solution other than that?
Edit: While playing single player i noticed my SCAR has a different skin and the marines have different uniforms, i've checked the pictures here and their the same with it? Although i can't get the mod to work :(

Check the correct installation of the NC.
The NC should be "... Crysis\Mods\NuclearCataclysm".
Try to fully reinstall the Crysis, and then install the NC properly.
Also try to run the 32 bit version.
("...\Crysis\Mods\NuclearCataclysm\ NuclearCataclysm 32bit.bat")
Or read the previous comments, where I wrote about "log_FileVerbosity 4".

Alright, I'm about to try this right now, I will inform you quickly about the results. And thanks for helping :D

I've done this, now 64 bit doesn't have the error message, it just goes black screen and then exits itself, and since it's just a black screen i can't access the console and do the log_file verbosity 4, 32 bit version keeps having the error message still though, I've also double checked the installation and it's correct

Have you updated the Crysis game to version 1.21?
(FileVersion: 1.1.1.6156)

I've downloaded a updater for version 1.21. But when i launch it it keeps saying: An error occured installing the package, Windows installer returned 1642.

Because you don't have the original CD.
Just download somewhere already updated Crysis. ;)

Fantastic mod level design and gameplay quality is AAA, this could have been a original Crysis DLC from Crytek. Petty the voice acting for some characters was to different from the original characters but the voice actors did a fantastic job nonetheless.
