I'm getting relatively consistent crashes opening fire from the SMG on a freshly spawned imp(

The obvious solution would be to not use SMG on imps, but it really pulls me out of the experience when I have to place arbitrary restrictions on weapons.

Has anyone had this bug, found a solution?

Crashes on launch for me on the initial loading screen. No idea what I'm doing wrong.

Tried running with .bat, creating a shortcut, adding steam launch options, cleaning out all other launch options and only setting the ones from readme - all for the same result(

This happens with both versions of Phobos for me. Would really appreciate any help, heard great things about this mod

Some textures are updated while others are a blurry mess, as if they just remained of original quality.

They're few and far between, but VERY noticeable when they appear. What texture mods work well with Overthinked?

1. These felt weird at first, but I love them now. It makes the FC2 gun porn even better, as well as becomes another 'status indication' of movement.
I wonder if it's possible to keep the gun pointed forward exclusively for moving backwards, just an aesthetic thing that makes sense in my mind.
Still not a big fan of the one handed sliding animation. I like it being different, but in gameplay it's always better to slide two-handed because it's both faster and less disorienting. Wouldn't mind if it stayed at all, though.

2. I almost don't think about them at this point, which means they've become about as intuitive as the default icons, while looking hand drawn. Good job!

3. Yet to test the intro as I'm in an ongoing playthrough.

4. EN Steam version here. Nothing significant. I've had one occasion where I was both spotted and shot through the wall of the very first armory in the south zone. Not sure if it's mod-related though.

Has DX9 always been the requirement? Installing this for a replay it caught me off guard.
I'm almost certain that my last playthrough using GES was DX10 and it worked fine. Am I making stuff up or was there a compatible version?

Could you explain the reasoning behind removing certain patrols and outposts?
Not that I'm against the change, just looking at the map and wondering why certain outposts and patrols were chosen over the others.

I share your opinion, although admittedly the new Doom seems to pay much more homage to D1&2 than D3 did.

That said D3 became a unique FPS that indeed has standed the test of time, not without the help of mods such as PD3.

By no means I would dare undermine the work you've done with the weapon textures.

The reason I'm asking is because the worn look of the weapons is an integral part of the amazing FC2 atmosphere for me. When modding games I usually go the other way, replacing clean shiny models with rusty scratched ones.

If you could explain or link the instruction on how to repackage the patch file, I'd be infinitely grateful.

Please don't take it as an offense to your work. I really appreciate what you've done with this mod but I like to keep my visual preferences separate from the gameplay ones.

Is it possible to leave the old weapon skins? I really really love the rough look they have in FC2.

It makes sense too, since they are all used weapons sold from various conflicts around the world.

This mod sounds great! Have to try it.

One question though: seeing as armory weapons no longer respawn, has the economy been rebalanced appropriately?

The diamonds are still finite so it would make sense to either decrease the weapon price since they're now single use or increase the amount of diamonds found in cases/rewarded for missions.

Is there a way to revert the reload animations to default? Or maybe once specific animation, if that's possible. I really hate the machinegun reload, it just doesn't make much sense to twist your arm like that and I cringe every single time I see it.

I really hope that the efforts you have put into this amazing mod have been worthwile and that you have amazing things in your life next year, and in the future overall.

If you can make remote detonation on nades - that would be terrific.

As for the SoulCube CM2 - isn't that a bit OP? I mean killing 5 enemies in D3 doesn't take much time or work, especially with increased monster count. So this means you virtually canot run out of ammo.

How does it work damage-wise? I suppose it's a big number of individual shots with low damage relative to primary mode, rapid fire and wide spread? Does it have a damage-over-time effect on demons?

This sounds literally like expanding your arsenal and thus making the player more powerful. Are these changes pushing to higher difficulty modes or should the demon attack buffs and their icnreased amount do the job?

I'm fine with that, contributes to the atmosphere.
Part of it I believe was the result of idtech being heavy on systems of the time, it would be hard to render huge open spaces for it at the time.

There are quite a few remakes of D1 and 2 with D3 visuals and those work great, proving that D3 COULD have been the direct sequel to the classic games, but persnally I love the turn they've made. It's still a unique game in many aspects.

Say... I think I've asked this before, but is there maybe a way to remove the crosshair or at least make it completely transparent?

Perfectly understandable, just wanted to know.

Although it wasn't so much the imps that were bothering me but the leaping tentacle commandos. I remember dying to them quite a few times in version version 5.

Also, gonna miss the wooden stock on the shottie, although I understand it doesn't fit the lore too well :(
