In the year 1923, war erupts across Calradia and Balion once more, bringing life to a new age of mechanization, revolution and nationalism, and a fourth era of technology that will forever shape the face of warfare.

This list only includes bugs that can be fixed by the player rather than the developers. The issues presented in the post are not relevant for everyone, as not everyone may experience them. Bugs with scripts and other in-game features will be handled by the team and don't have direct solutions.

The mod is being remade, and most of the current information will be outdated on the new release.

There is currently no estimated release date for the new version, but the previous ones are still playable.

Greetings, everyone, and welcome to our third development blog for the new Red Wars 2. In this blog we will be showcasing the People’s Republic of the Khergits. We will be going over the faction's lore, playstyle, troops, and more.

The Red Khergit horde sweeps across the steppes, much as their ancestors did in the early days. Spurred forth by promises of a better future they fight the last remnants of the Vaegir Empire in a highly mobile war of supremacy. The Khergits will serve the Communist cause, even if it means soaking the entirety of Calradia with blood, even sacrificing entire generations at the altar of ideology; their zeal and fervour knows no limits, even the Vaegirs seek to reign in their eastern comrades, but for now they are happy to let them rampage across Swadia and the Sarrinian desert, but fear that their Anarchic form of communism may spread throughout the Vaegir populace.

Army, Power & Politics

The Khergits field a army of poorly equipped and poorly armed soldiers, their strength is in numbers and their melee infantry, colloquially known as the "Greatswords", and being steppe nomads they also field a high amount of mediocre cavalry to act as a shock and awe vanguard, but the Khergits are best not caught in a defensive position, as their forces cannot withstand a sustained assault from ranged units.

The Khergit form of communism is one where a hierarchy dominates, but anarchy reigns; A leadership class of warlords dominates the army, and the army dominates the peasants, and all are beholden to the Chairman and his elite political class. The political elite constantly fan the flames of anarchy, lawlessness and revolution to ensure that political opposition from moderates is suppressed through mob rule, and those from the old Imperial intelligencia can be eliminated by the Khergit elite’s personal paramilitary organizations with approval from the peasantry.

Their military is controlled by a kabal of revolutionary warlords, each with their own vast private army at their beck and call, and these warlords are always willing to serve the Chairman and his circle of elites. These warlords each have their own motivation, some serve out of ideological purity, others have more nefarious reasons, but avarice overrides all motivations at the end of the day, and in this political climate there's always opportunity to acquire material wealth through a wide variety of means.

Well... I'll put the bugs that I found out here then.

- If you enlist to an army don't let the quest option to the general avaliable because that will cause problems with him, he will not let you go do the quest and it will be lost and your relation with him will fall.

- Time acceleration when enlisted should be allowed so we don't sit bored as **** during this time.

- Follow up missions like "take the cattle to somewhere" have a problem of ocean crossing, I could not find a way to put the cows inside the boat and they don't get near the ports for some reason, maby an invisible wall.

- Cut off the Willhelm scream... makes the game too much goofie and this mod is incredible great to have such stupid sound effect. (yeah, the fact that I always hated this SFX helps put this here =D )

- Improve aiming with snipers, after all it is a sniper, precision+distance, normal rifles has better aiming than snipers.

- when you walk in the Town Hall, sometimes, your "spirit" is visible, and interactible like it is the Lord. Hell of fun, but buggy.

- Sometimes a boat comes to land and follow you, that was awesome, but...

- In a fight with a beligerant drunk, sometimes, the barkeeper keeps talking to you. That could lead to death if you don't have a handgun or some quick weapon.

That is all for now, if I find something more I'll post here ;)

is this still being worked on? and if so how soon till release/open beta cause The Red Wars is one of my favorite M&B mods and I'd love to see it revived and brought back better than ever

for some reason, the first person camera is working oddly, for starters, when you aim from a horse, your camera sinks down into the animal, and makes aiming next to impossible, second, I can't shoot from third person, or properly aim while crouching.

Where can I send some observances to help improve the mod? I took some notes of what I saw while playing (I'm still playing, and it is TONS of fun).

has potential, just needs more models and to be devanillaized a lot more. But I have a feeling one day this will beat clash of kings by a long shot.
