The End Of Days is a freeware modification for Command & Conquer: Generals Zero Hour. Our mod adds a new playable faction - Russia, and greatly improves the original three with new units, structures and special powers!
The main aim of the mod is to bring an authentic real war feeling, with a few fictional additions for more fun and diverse gameplay & tactics! Fight M1A2 Abrams Tanks or T-14 Armata Tanks with your Overlord Tanks supported by Z-19 Attack Helicopters!
The End Of Days greatly changes the gameplay of the original Generals Zero Hour by removing Heroes and Superweapons in their traditional role. Hero Units are now replaced with elite infantry, and Superweapons are mostly presented as mobile ICBM Launchers like Russia's Topol-M or China's DF-41.
Another great feature is the ability to purchase a subfaction at your tech center, replacing the original choice of "Generals" prior to battle, which allows you to change your strategy mid-game to counter your opponents! Each of the 4 factions have 3 completely different subfactions to choose from!
With the air units being much stronger than in Zero Hour, a completely new unique feature is introduced for all factions: Long Range Anti-Air Missile Systems. These are a more advanced version of stationary Anti-Air defenses, which provide incredible protection from your enemy's air power!
Many more modern units from real-life armies are at your disposal as well. Go on and find it all out by yourself!

hello and thank u for the wonderful work ! it is excellent !
but please consider these suggestions to make it even better :
1-it is too slow and difficult to build the tank and soldiers bunkers with the repair vehicle instead of the dozer plz give this ability back to the dozer coz it is time consuming and cannot be accurately pointed
2-stealth planes are useless if they can be detected by any radar...plz make them only detectable when firing or at least when they are really close to the big radars only , stealth should be a strategic capability cuz it is useless if my stealth units are blinging all the time
3-the b2 stealth bomber bombs are so weak 2 planes should be able to destroy any building and 4 planes should destroy the command center...and since they fly high i suggest to make them only targetable by heavy anti air and other fighter aircraft coz they are supposed to be strategic bombers , and please consider what i mentioned about stealth planes in general , plus all strategic aircraft should not be an easy target for bullets , stingers , small anti air etc...
4-speznas are buggy and both them and the marines should be able to smartly auto switch between their weapons when targeting infantry or buildings/vehicles.
5-seals should have another weapon to attack tanks coz for example u need 100 seals to destroy 1 overlord...
6-consider moving the VDV to the heavy assault forces and the spesnaz to the airforce
7-the C RAM is too slow to be used along the fast abrams , a slight speed improvement would do great to make them more useable and i would consider giving it a minigun or something to attack ground targets to be a perfect anti air to be used with the abrams
8-the b1 lance should be faster and slightly harder to shoot down , helicopters should go down with 1 heavy missle if it hit them and wasnt avoided by countermeasures , and fighter/small bombers with 2 heavy missiles at most ( if they were hit )
cuz i have seen some planes take 4 heavy missiles and still fly...
after all it is ur game im just a humble gamer u do whatever u see fit , thank u and the team

1. Already taken decision to be built by dozer.
2.We are working on it and maybe will return old logic for stealth detection. Before was not good to have it since heavy SAM were killing planes with one missile, but now since it takes two maybe is good idea to return it back reveal upon attack.
3. The main issue is that WF had a lot of HP which will be reduced. Other buildings are ok and easy to be destroyed by 2 B2. Each of B2 nuke does 3K damage in direct hit. More than enough
4. Not possible to be done. Marine is using rider logic and there is no way to make it auto switch. Spetsnaz is using missile defender laser guided missiles logic so again is not wise to make it auto switch. Please remember, those units are not meant to be tank destroyers. They are infiltrators, anti personal and have additional power to deal with vehicles when needed. You have Javelins, RPG, kornets and etc. for tanks. We don't want one unit to be like commando...
5. Same as above

7. I can increase the mobility a bit to test how it is, but it might be OP, we have to test it
8. 1 Heavy SAM missile kills helicopters. Heavy sam missiles are not being defected by countermeasures. 2 Missiles kills one jet. The scenario you described is not possible. If you are talking about special power planes, yes they take like 6 missiles before get shot down.
Thank you for pointing out the actual balance problems of our mod! We're trying our best to make it better without breaking other aspects of the game! I'd recommend you to join our discord to discuss it with the Alexei Stukov and me, but right now I'll give my own word to all points:
1. Tank Bunkers will return back to the Dozer in 098. We acknowledged the fact it required too much APM to build defense lines with MTP.
2. We took remaking stealth mechanic under consideration. Though it's a very difficult variable to change, since Stealth Aircraft are the units at the verge of being OP and UP. Would be very cool if stealth air revealed itself upon firing, but I really doubt it'll ever happen, Alexei loves this part. Right now we have no certain answer to that problem.
3. B-2 was a bane of ground armies back in the days, so we nerfed it. I believe 2 Nuclear B-2s should be enough to destroy most of structures, at least it should be like that. Cluster variant is weak against structures though.
4. I believe we can do that.
5. SEALs have different purposes. They should sneak to the enemy's base to wreck havoc there, not to directly fight tanks. Well, if you wish to do so that much, plant a C4 on it, SEALs cannot be crushed by most of vehicles.
6. Russian Air Force was super weak on the ground with only Spruts and BMPTs being a ground option. So we made a decision to mix both Russian Air Forces and Russian VDV Forces branches. VDVs are kinda strong ground asset to be reckoned with, and it makes ground operations somewhat viable for RuAF. Without them, the ground gameplay for Russian Airforces will be very questionable (you can't play air in 100% of situations)
7. C-RAMs while being one of the strongest Anti-Air units should've had some backfires to not be overpowered. In our vision, making it slow and AA only was a good idea. It makes the Abrams Army less maneuverable, but more protected. But I agree at fact that it might be too powerful and the intermediate option is needed. We're working on it.
8. I believe all helicopters are going down with one Long Range SAM. If you're talking about small missiles like Tor, SLAMRAAM or Stinger, well, it's too unfun to lose pretty expensive helicopter to one missile from 800$ truck, we're not aiming for realistic balance at all.

for the B2 problem i meant that 2 planes should destroy one building without nukes , i would also recommend they fire 2 cruise missiles along with carpet bombs and they should be really hard to shoot down
seals , speznas , marines i agree with everything u said but i noticed that the seals r just too weak when fighting the overlord even if they where in large numbers , other vehicles r kinda ok plz test it
for the helicopters , i think they should be able to avoid 1 missile and go down with one when it hits , some large aircraft like in generals powers need more than 4 to go down wich is kinda too much ,
fighters/bombers should take 2 missiles and avoid 1 or 2
strategic and stealth fighters/bombers should be able to at least make it to most targets , the best way to deal with them is heavy anti air and other advanced fighters , i would strongly recommend reveal upon attack for ground units , and reveal when close to advanced/other stealth planes they should not be targetable by small or medium anti air units , u can make them more expensive in return
f-22 and f 35 both should have radar jam and laser protection
the russian and chinese stealth fighter are very good
i would put 8 missile defenders in the american paradrop , and 3/4 star streaks
the mod is the best it just need a few modifications

B-2 with clusters is for anti ground vehicles, not so good vs buildings and this is how it should be. Nuke is making the difference also in latest changes the cost of the plane and nuke was reduced and damage a bit improved.
Regarding seals, we don't expect to penetrate overlord armor with light guns right?
Regarding heavy sams and can we avoid them it's really difficult subject. Heavy SAMS missiles can't be jammed except by Raptor LPD, which now is part of any USAF sub faction aircraft. But countermeasures are not affecting heavy sam missiles.
I have idea in my mind to test something else. Every Heavy SAM too have 25% chance to miss the target, 25% to deliver one hit kill and another 50% to deliver half damage kill.
But the engine will decide by it self and sometimes 25% can be 50...
In next version US jets are buffed much more and US jets will be stronger than RU and china ones.

I think a certain WWII mod has this kind of logic for tanks, with a certain chance to stun them. Good to see this happening with aircraft.
I try player + AI vs AI + AI , I found that Russian enemy defeat my AI China teammate pretty fast :D , I guess russian really strong even they both are Hard enemy XD . This is fun
just a suggestion, but i think you should get rid of the viral missile's ability to kill vehicle drivers in the next update. As china or russia, killing gla on hard when they choose the stealth or deathstrike forces is pretty easy. But when he picks mass destruction forces, it just seems like a cheap way to win. Not only does it give him that super long range anthrax launcher, but the viral missiles can kill all your topols/df41s in one hit. There is no reason for that. Most modern military vehicles are protected against that kind of thing anyway, so it doesn't make much sense.
This ability is cool and I like it. We can't keep 100% realism in a game it will destroy the fun. However I have plans to balance it more and SMF EMP missile as well.
