C&C: ShockWave is an enhancement mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour. The main goal of this mod is to make Zero Hour a more interesting game with more diversity between the generals, making you think twice before you select a certain general, and overall provide more choices, diversity, and strategic freedom than in Zero Hour - while keeping the spirit and design direction of the original Generals game and storyline.

Description

This patch fixes some of the issues that occured in Shockwave 0.95. This also adds various new goodies, such as new maps, abilities and units. This REQUIRES Shockwave Version 0.95.

All praise Shockwave, the 1st inter-system mod, and the only one in any real state of playability.

*bows before the might of the greatest mod yet*

It's an AWESOME mod!!! though there are a few things that are wrong with it... The super weapon shatterer does barley noticeable damage... that's one of the bugs i found...

I spotted a Bug :(

When using the Salvage General when you use that three man cannon unit it freezes the game when i fire! Plus their Anti air truck does barley noticeable damage! Fix it with the next update!

I have Shockwave 0.95 and 0.951 patch and zero hour 1.04! when I play on company town map (which is part of the 0.951 patch) against 5 easy AIs everything works fine, no lag, but if I play against 1 medium AI after 5-10 min the game starts to lag big time even on the lowest video settings. My computer can run Zero Hour on max whin no problem and I don't get it, why om easy work fine and on medium big lag. I also noticed that might have something to do with the Ai using artillery units like the tomahawk launcher or the rocket buggy! Any ideas or at least how can i stop the Ai from building artillery units to test if that's the problem?

PS: Allready reinstaled the game and mod twice
PPS: Cant post on Shockwave forum, I'm still waiting for confimation of my account

the game lags because you need more RAM. you can buy more RAM at an electronics store like FRY'S, in California USA. install it yourself or get an authorized dealer to do it for you. if you maxxed out your RAM already, then you may need to upgrade your computer to a newer model. The RAM made a big difference, i went from 2gb to 4 gb and the game runs fast!! too fast actually. the AI builds its base and units too quickly. i had to slow the game speed down in order to keep up with the AI.

Actually, your game lags because that's just the Sage engine crapping out. The Sage engine was made to run in Windows, and even over here it generally starts slowing down when the AI is issueing a lot of commands and waypoints, over there it's probably worse.

pootytang is right, getting more RAM might improve it's performance, but I'm running a beast of a machine and it runs silky smooth at 1600x1200 on maxed out graphics settings, but it'll still chug when I'm bulldozing the AI with a massive army. Generally, things get faster as there are less AI to deal with. Want smoother gameplay? Kill more AI. :P

Just Giving some feedback and thoughts

I feel as if General Ironsides Howitzer is a little OP, (Dmg or Rof)
Some of the Generals Powers seem take to long
Grangers Challange map has the Patriot turrets non powered
