Command and Conquer 3: The Forgotten aims to bring back and tell the story of a fascinating faction. The Forgotten, featured in Tiberian Sun and Firestorm, are an ever-growing group of individuals afflicted with Tiberium-based illnesses. Detested, marginalized, and oppressed by the three superpowers, The Forgotten have begun to rally against GDI, Nod, and the Scrin. Since their story is not featured in C&C 3, the mod aims to tell it in a compelling fashion, through a deep singleplayer campaign, unique faction composition, and engaging gameplay. The Forgotten is also the only mod to feature high-definition Full Motion Videos, just like real C&C games, that advance the story.

I'm pleased to announce that, after perhaps way too much time (damn you, real life!) I've finally gotten around to releasing the next version of C&C 3: The Forgotten. This version starts out small, mostly with buffs to some of the Forgotten's weaker units to make them more useful. Here is the full changelist:

  • Longhorn passenger capacity reduced from 4 to 1
  • Longhorn passengers now receive 75% damage bonus
  • Longhorn prerequisite changed from Tacitus Library to Garden of Life
  • Longhorn damage against tank and heavy units increased 50%
  • Tiberium Fiend weapon damage increased from 60 to 75
  • Bulldozer now immune to mines and Disintegrator's crush death weapon
  • Jeep speed reduced from 130 to 110
  • Jeep DPS increased by about 78%
  • Jeep damage taken from GUN and GRENADE weapons decreased by 25%
  • Jeep damage taken from rocket weapons increased by 10%
  • War Camper base damage increased from 500 to 600
  • War Camper damage multiple for aircraft decreased from 120% to 100%
  • War Camper range increased from 250 to 275
  • New Fissure Tank projectile model added (thanks Egozi)
  • Fissure Tank acceleration and turn rate greatly increased
  • Fissure Tank now puts tread tracks on the ground when it moves
  • Fissure Tank damage taken from GUN and GRENADE weapons reduced by 50%
  • Logistics Blimp missile jamming code reworked, now much more effective
  • Fixed typo in Veinhole Monster superweapon description

I can't believe my long-forgotten account at Moddb actually works.

I've completed first three missions of the Forgotten campaign. I am a newcoming player who started immediately from 1.2.0, so I speak as a person not familiar with earlier versions.

For now the game looks solid, but it has certain issues. What I managed to see so far (I confirm what Destroyer5000 says below):

1.) The game immediately crashes with an error every time I try to save the game myself (autosave between campaign missions seems to be fine).

2.) The Fissure tank fires an odd red ball (larger than its own barrel) instead of a shell. The game apparently fails to see the shell model and replaces it with a placeholder.

3.) The third mission has a bizarre space where the land stretches a little bit, forming a small square outside the lower map border. This bugged space is located at the lower map border to the left of the player's base. If you place base defences nearby, enemy units will position themselves here and shoot your defences. It is really difficult to target units caught in this space, and base defences seem to be ignoring hostiles there. I have already see Nod laser artillery and recon bikes hiding there.

4.) The objectives screen is always empty but it seems to be a minor issue.

Hello ! I am a HUGE fan of the mod but it seems that there is a major major problem with the game.Nearly every time i try and save it crashes and some times even if i dont try and save at all and just play it still crashes.Ive been trying to finish the 3rd mission on Italy for the last 4 hours and it seems that i cant because the game crashes either when i save or after a certain amount and then i have to load saves made 1-2 hours prior.When it crashes i get a screen saying not enough memory or something like that.I dont know what type of memory it talks about but my computer costed nearly 2k euros so it certainly aint a hardware based problem.Please fix it because this aint fun at all not to mwntion its annoying as hell.I havent tried to play skrimish but i guess the problem may happen there too.As i cant think of any other sollution ill do a clean install of the game and the mod and see if anything changes.Thanks for reading

There might be a memory leak problem in the game engine. If memory leaks somewhere, you can have the best gaming rig in the world but the game will screw up and freeze or crash after some time.

It is difficult to say what and where went wrong, since I played three first missions spending about 1-2 hours for each of them, and the only crash I saw was the failed attempt to save the game manually.

When you do manage and reach the final mission you will see the massive lags im talking about near the 20-30-40 minutes marker.

EDIT:I reinstalled the game and the mod and it still crashes after a certain amount of time of playing or when saving.Apart from that i found another shenanigan.When the fisure tanks fires instead of the old mortal like shell it shoot a red ball thingy.Dont know if its supposed to fire balls,but propably it isnt.

EDIT:Another bug.When i play the last mission after the 15-20-30 minute mark it gets extremly laggy.Everything moves in slow motion and i just cant play the mission properly

so i just dawnload this mod and i try the campain from the mod and it crashes at the first mission then i try ti fight the ai and plai as the forgoten and when i make infantri my game crashes i try agen vs ai and it crashes agen. i like the mod and the music in it so i hope this things can be fixt

The mod adds the Forgotten as a new faction and shows their storyline in the Third Tiberium War. The mod adds great stuff for the Forgotten in a pretty balanced way. I suggest you try the Sidewinders and Bulldozers, they own.
