Command and Conquer 3: The Forgotten aims to bring back and tell the story of a fascinating faction. The Forgotten, featured in Tiberian Sun and Firestorm, are an ever-growing group of individuals afflicted with Tiberium-based illnesses. Detested, marginalized, and oppressed by the three superpowers, The Forgotten have begun to rally against GDI, Nod, and the Scrin. Since their story is not featured in C&C 3, the mod aims to tell it in a compelling fashion, through a deep singleplayer campaign, unique faction composition, and engaging gameplay. The Forgotten is also the only mod to feature high-definition Full Motion Videos, just like real C&C games, that advance the story.

Nope, you can't build an accelerator on top of it, unfortunately. It makes sense anyways, seeing as how it's alive and how the Forgotten have learned to manipulate Tiberian Life while the Scrin can't do that.

Besides, Tiberium craters that spawn Tiberium are actually normal terrain with the crater on top and the terrain part made invisible. The Growth Accelerator can only be placed on invisible terrain, and you can't code something to make terrain invisible, so unfortunately, it's a limit within the game's coding.

Erm, the GA build method doesn't factor in visibility of terrain. It only uses a special BuildPlacementType which is only supplied by craters as well as the BuildOnRequiredObjectKindOf set to only accept tiberium based objects.

You can even see this on custom maps where the terrain hasn't been made invisible and you can usually still place an GA on a crater.

You can't destroy the tree. I don't know if the Scrin can build an accelerator over it. I'll try it out and come back to you on that one.

Description

The Blossom Tree Support Power provides a secondary source of income for The Forgotten. It enables The Forgotten to plant a Blossom Tree, as seen in Tiberian Dawn, on the battlefield. The Blossom Tree grows classic Tiberium, which is worth less than modern Tiberium, but which regrows faster, supplying a steady source of income to Forgotten commanders.
