Hi, my name is Max and I do voice.
Wow, this is a very detailed article, shows you guys are extremely committed to making this as close as it can be and I can get behind that!
Appreciate you dropping my stream of the demo into the playlist and I'm very much looking forward to streaming the next demo!
Concerning the cut maps and levels you worked on, would you consider releasing them down the line maybe as an addon once the mod is fully out or something along those lines? I know you said you might re-purpose them but it would be cool to play in them as originally intended as a small bonus type thing.
I'm done with you guys, your horrible attitude, and your mod, have a nice day.
Ah, fantastic, the developers themselves have called me out because they don't like my bad review inciting people to fight back. If this is how the developers are going to treat people who have opposing opinions on the mod then I want nothing to do with it. I was planning on streaming any future demos and the full release giving it my final thoughts but I don't even want to touch anything made by this mod team.

"Friends, we got a skunk in the modd community, moreover, he crap all comments under his own (super-duper opinion) so this bastard merges rating.
We call on constructive-minded people to make an analysis of his speeches and give him a clear answer.
He wants publicity, let her get it.

Of course, this is a provocation, but guys, as a developer who has spent more than a thousand hours on a mod, it's a shame to see this **** on the page."
No thanks, you've lost my support and thank you to everyone who replied saying how wrong I was, you guys enjoy your mod and your developers.
I sure hope so but having "With great exclusion, everything that does not correspond to the canons of the original game will be cut out." doesn't give me much hope though.
You miss my point, I liked and am for remaking the old levels from the original and making them look updated because that's the point of a remake.
What I don't like is when they cut 75% of the original levels because "it's not canon" instead of attempting to remake as much of the mod as they can while improving and updating the design. What I also don't like is a team that's calling it a remake when it's more of a re-imagining because most of the entire mod looks nothing like the original even after "remaking" it.
I'll be happy to eat my words if they release an updated version and more of the original levels are back and remade to look nicer but right now in its current state it isn't Azure Sheep.
Also thanks for resorting to name calling, it really makes your argument look stronger.
Black Mesa isn't 1:1 either but at least 90% of the areas in the game are recognizeable from its original counterpart. When you say your mod or game is a remake it means you're building something from scratch that is supposed to look and feel like the original but improve on it without straying too far from what it originally was, this mod does not do that.
This mod recreates a few original areas and gives the player a pool cue, that's about all it has to do with the original Azure Sheep. I'm not expecting the mod to be a 1:1 copy but the team can't say it's a remake when barely anything is being remade from the original and that's my issue with it and that argument of "The original was just empty hallways and areas" is crap because any competent mod team could take those empty areas and do something with them instead of simply throwing them out.
So again, I don't think the level design is bad overall because you can see hard work was put into it but it's not Azure Sheep and that's my issue with a mod calling itself a "remake".
I agree with how empty a bunch of areas were in the original but regardless this is still missing a ton of pieces that could have been properly translated to this mod and just because you can remove non-canon stuff doesn't mean you should.
Again, if it had nothing to do with the Azure Sheep name I'd have no issues but coming from someone who likes the original a lot this isn't a good remake.
what a pro
I can't stress enough how important it is to backup your stuff either on other HDD's or on the internet because of things happening like this.
I'm absolutely down for anything that carries the They Hunger name and expands on it, looking forward to updates!
Played the demo a bit ago, wasn't too impressed, the level designs were alright but I only recognized a couple key areas and the rest were cut or resembled nothing of the original design. What made it worse was in your "About" menu you said you would be cutting stuff that wasn't considered "canon" which effectively butchers this remake.
If this was a standalone mod that had nothing to do with the original Azure it would pass but as a "remake" this has nothing to do with Azure minus a few set pieces.
Looks like that one brush machine from They Hunger Episode 3 but in model form.
We don't have R7.
Looking good but I'd record your videos on a better PC.
Streamed the mod here:
FIX THE MOD
I hope someone makes a Wormwood-like project using this as a base or makes an addon that does the same, would be neat to open up a ton of the map with the stability of x64 backing us.
Holy crap, everything in this image is just..so right.
Are you going for a "Look at the MP40 ported from RTCW" or are you just using the model and sounds? If you are going to advertise it as a port from RTCW I'd just use the original animations but modify them to have both partial and dry animations.
Did a stream of the alpha build that was posted in the downloads.
Nice, will anything be done with the AI since it's pretty bad currently.
That's perfectly fine, I'd rather have a stable experience where all the features you've added work rather than a broken one with a few fixes from the GZDoom team.
Wow, good to hear from you guys!
Reminds me of Gmod in 2010 and 2011.
I mean, the effects look interesting but those shots are from Half-Life and not your maps.
