Photoshop FTW but I also use pencil(not pen) and paper sometimes as a guide before I do my final concepts witrh my tablet in PS
pen and paper first, color in photoshop.
Photoshop :D
what's XARA Xtreme anyways? :P
i use photoshop and pen and paper but i probably use photoshop more
i tried using gimp shop because its free (and yes i know there are "ways" to get photoshop free but they are all illegal) but after using photoshop for so long and getting used to the terms used for certain tools it just confused the hell out of me. i guess i should look up some tutorials
Wow, I got the first vote... anyways, any logos that I make are all done in photoshop... But pen & paper can be good sometimes.
GIMP is good, but it has the tendency to crash for me.
i draw my ideas. then gimp it, then ms pain something totally different because i am not at all artistic
I guess everyone does a bit of pen&paper work before making their image digital.
pen & ppr rules!!! try to draw something in photoshop without something to base it on.
Pen and paper.... I like the fact that despite the advance of technology, we can still hark back to simpler measures which are just as effective :)
It doesn't matter how good you are with photoshop, if you suck at ordinary pen and paper :P. Pen and paper for me!
GIMP! GIMP! GIMP!
Open Source FTW. I find it's better than Photoshop these days.
ms paint!!!!
Pen and paper annoys me...No undo function
PS
PS for me, though I'll draw some things pen and paper for refrence sometimes. I'd use GIMP, but I still can't adjust to it.
corel paint shop pro... lvoed it since v4
I prefer using Photoshop (CS2) along with my wacom tablet.
I use Photoshop CS2 for all my image work. I barely ever draw anything with paper and pen (except pure writing).
mspaint FTW
And now you see why I don't do textures. XD
Where the heck is Adobe Illustrator?
Add!
Where the heck is Apple Aperture and Adobe InDesign?
Please add them, hope somebody cares.
Pencil/paper then Adobe Creative Suite 2.
i normally start the ideas of what stuff will look like in little sketches on paper then scan it into photoshop and color it and play around with it
I use them all but Adobe Photoshop is the best by far.
no contest
Illustrator XD Vector art ftw :P
does no one here like using ms paint?
pen&paper >>>>> adobe photoshop > GIMP >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> all
OMG! MS Paint Beat Macromedia Fireworks, Paintshop Pro and Adobe Illustrator. lol
zbrush and blender will work to :)
2... d...?
just photoshop straight off, i never learnt any pen & paper stuff first, so it's all I know :)
I was thinking of giving Xara Xtreme a shot, looks pretty interesting but tbh there's still so much to know about ps ! That's what I love about it :D:D
Logitech io pen - draw on real paper with a real pen then it digitises all your lines!
I must be one of the only people who <3s Fireworks.
I find that Gimp has some very interesting things that I can't figure out how to do in Photoshop.
I also find that Photoshop has a ton more very interesting things that I can't figure out how to do in GIMP.
I just wish there weren't problems trying to clipboard between them, so I could go back and forth easily!
it's the simplicity doing the trick.
In MS Paint you have the pixels and you have a pen with a color. Nothing more.
Or what else do you need for digital pics ?
My Wacom tablet is great, and Photoshop is very powerful alongside it - but nothing compares to pen and paper! Sketching has me drawn into it (sorry for the bad pun guys).
i do a little of pen & papper first and then photoshop
There's no option for Macromedia Flash :(
GIMP all the way:
- free software
- works on all platforms ( linux, windows, mac )
- not bloated with stuff you don't need
- nice workflow
