Tiberian Apocalypse is a Partial Conversion for Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars with the goal to create a true Tiberian Sun sequel. GDI, Nod and the Scrin are getting a complete overhaul.
On a related note, I like the drop pod concept. Although I think it might be more appropriate for a smaller more support-y vehicle, rather than the huge mech. Also, I see that it's now named the Fenris. Good choice.
I think ALL drop pods should be able to crush at least some type of units. This one should be able to crush bigger ones, like walkers and tanks...etc. The Zone trooper pods should be able to crush infantry at least. It's a bit like when you called in a new crawler in C&C 4. It can turn the tide of a conflict, too.
Their drop zones should be limited to certain units and building, like Commandos, Snipers or even Juggernauts for quick reinforcements and protection for it.
Snipers should not only be able to spot for Juggernauts but vehicle crushing pods like yours should be able to be called in around them and commandos.
For balancing you see. It would be a bit much if you could just smack a tier 3 unit pod in the middle of your opponents base and units, unless you have certain units near.
I think you should design a structure or something that could give acces to super units like a super weapon mainframe it could be used for extreme upgrades and units like this one
Ugh, the story, Curse you EA Games! for giving Kane such a poor send off. "Everything will be explained" my butt! ......//coughs// sorry, C&C fanboy rage moment.
Would you want Joe Kucan to play Kane in a live-action C&C movie, though? I think he could pull of a real movie role, don't you? I mean, we're all so used to his mug, no one else should play him.
hmmmmm....nope...I kind of understand your deal here, but hear me out.
it just looks to big for a drop pod and it seem physically improvable, from where such a drop pod wound come from? the death star?
honestly I would give it another shot to the drop ship idea.
or!!! and think about this, if such a weapon existed today, how would you move it for a fast deployment?... several helicopters pulling it by cables!!!! eh!? wouldnt that be cool!? maybe a handfull of transport ships (5-4) enter the battlefield and gently place the Fenris unit in the ground or landing pad whatever.
if it flies back up, wouldnt that make it a ship rather than a drop pod? I mean in TW/KW drop pod dont fly back up they are meant to do just the landing, after that they fall apart.
So after 2 days of trying to find a desing for a GDI drop ship, I decided to **** on it and make a drop pod instead :P
hah, well that always works ;)
2 scale wat size is it to the old drop pod?
twice as big or not cus the looks pretty small
They look pretty small? Wat? Did you even look at what the drop pod delivers?
WOO nice! only 1 can be built? or limitless?
Only 1
I assume it has a landing pad as opposed to being a place anywhere ability.
You can place it anywhere near a few special buildings (which are conyard, tech center, command center and a single unit, the commando, for now)
oh, and ofc, it squishes anything under it when it lands, that includes friendly stuff.
Is it a bird? Is it an airplane? NO! It's GDI's heavy drop p... *squish*

Also: Holy S**t that's a massive drop pod. Funny how that's an afterthought. It probably takes up the whole screen - it better have a hi-res texture!
It actually doesn't need That much of a high res texture, only a very damn well optimised UVW.
Now that's big
hm, so its named Fenris rather than Fenrir, I guess you liked the sound of Fenris more or some such.
Fenris is how it 'should' be called :P

This pod can in fact, crush everything beside conyards and superweapons.

That's how it is anyway :P

Starcraft II ftw.
BTW, Awesome model
CnC4 FTW Actually.
You must mean "FTL". There's no way you could be calling C&C4 "win".
I'm calling it Win, the Multiplayer at least, which is fun as hell.
Not so much the story or graphics tho >.<

A full C&C movie.....that could actually be very very cool if done properly....so I hope EA games doesn't get to close to its production.
Nice work. looks great!
looks perfect :)

It comes from a GDI space station, of which, TA story wise, there are quite a few, then it flies back up.
Oh yeah, this is Command and Conquer. F*ck Physics.

I don't care what they where like in TW, because I'm not going after TW/KW tech.
fair enough.
"The Death Star?" HA! HA!, that was funny!
I'm confused, does it act as a transport unit, or is it a delivery system???
delivery
Very cool
