Mass Effect: Unification is a total-conversion mod for Star Wars Battlefront II that adds the Mass Effect era to Instant Action.
As of the latest release, you can fight as the Systems Alliance, the Heretic Geth, the Collectors, or the Evolved Geth on six new custom maps, all of the stock maps, and all maps from the Sol Map Pack.
Yep, that's right. R7 is finally underway! And best of all, it's primarily featuring the long-awaited Reapers faction! Here's a preview:
Aside from Reapers, not much else is set in stone just yet for confirmed features, but stuff that's already been done include the Charge ability for Vanguards (finally), a complete overhaul of the audio mixing, and many small bug fixes.
Oh, and did I mention we're going to be adding Galactic Conquest? Yeah, you heard me right! Our GC will utilize all of MEU's existing custom maps plus all of the maps from the Sol Map Pack.
As always, you can track our progress with MEU on the Trello board.
Oh, and feel free to join in on the dev streams on Twitch! I typically do MEU dev streams on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays - but I also stream games on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so feel free to hop into those as well if you'd like. ;o
In the meantime, prepare for R7 and give the latest release (R6.5) a download!

Hey Marth, just wanted to say that even as someone who's not really into the Mass Effect parts of this mod, all the Sol Map Pack additions are mainstays in my mod list. Some of the best work ever put onto ModDB. I'm really hopeful we can see another addition to it some day in the future.
Thank you so much! <3
I only have geth vs geth or geth evolved vs collectors. Is any other factions in the game? I was expecting some alliance vs geth
Hi. There's Systems Alliance vs Geth and Alliance vs Collectors as well. It's randomly selected at the start of each match but you can force a combination with the Configuration Utility.
When will the reapers be out?
We've been busy with other projects lately. I'd expect sometime within the next couple years. It's largely dependent on getting a character artist.
Why is it that there are random explosions on some maps that instakill me? I'll just be healing up somewhere that I can't be seen by any enemies then I instantly die for no good reason.
Ah yeah that's the random artillery. They fire at each command post randomly. We'll look into rebalancing them to be less lethal in future.
Could it be possible to enable Faction Combinations separately in the config tool? I.E. you only want Systems Alliance vs. Heretic Geth and Collectors you could enable those two combinations alone.
Hey! Yeah this has been a desired feature for a really long time, since the tool's inception a decade ago. Back then it was really complicated to try and implement, but nowadays with the new tool it should actually be much more doable. I'll look into it!
