Set in the 22nd century, Mass Effect, developed by BioWare Corporation, is a third-person, role-playing shooter that focuses on the story of Commander Shepard, an Alliance Marine who must do everything possible to save the galaxy from the Reaper threat.

NAME: Unification (r2) USA West

Mass Effect: Unification is a total conversion mod that adds a new era to stock maps as well as new custom maps. As of v1.1 (r2), you can fight as the Systems Alliance, the Heretic Geth, or the Collectors (depending on the map) on Eden Prime, the Prothean Skyway, Virmire, and most of the stock maps.

Hey guys. In an effort to clean up and organize the comment section (also due to the comment system's terrible design), I'd like to move most discussion to the forums. Before you immediately bounce on over to the comment section and throw every curse word you know at me, take another look at the forums. Yeah. Much cleaner and more useful-looking, right? So yeah. :P Now you have every reason to transition over from the comment section to the forums. :)

Anyway, here are the new boards and their descriptions:

Eggman has a busy life, he's most likely just taking a break. That being said, I wouldn't hold your breath either.

Eggman has been quiet on Gametoast, he hasn't visited in a couple weeks, rarely posts.

Oh, whoops. Yeah, the site got hacked recently but it's back up now; all you need to do is remove "forums/" from the URL and it will work. (I'll fix the link here as well though.)

I am personally not a fan of the new changes to shield regeneration, and increased shield strength (although I like the idea of faster shield regeneration in command points and shield pickups). I feel that gameplay wise, is mod is further distancing itself from the Mass Effect Games. In those games, weapons are very lethal and you can die very quickly. While I do not think that this mod can and should be a one to one copy of the games, I wish that it would be more similar than it currently is. I would much rather prefer if all units regenerated both their health and shield, and if all units received a reduction of health and shield points by 20-30%. While I enjoy the current mod very much, I would enjoy it even more if the gameplay was more reminiscent of the games. I apologize for the long post, but I strongly believe that such changes will improve the combat in this mod.

On another note, I found a bug in which armored units, such as the Geth Juggernaut, cannot heal on wall-mounted first-aid stations while they can be healed by those on the ground (I observed this bug on the Coruscant map).
