Dawn of the Tiberium Age (DTA) is a stand-alone mod that combines Tiberian Dawn (C&C 95) and Red Alert. While classic mode gets as close to the original game-play and balance as possible, Enhanced mode provides improved game balance and a lot of fun new stuff. DTA features many customization options for Skirmish and multiplayer (where you can play as GDI, Nod, Allies and Soviet on over 200 maps), challenging original singleplayer missions, as well as co-op missions. Since this is a stand-alone mod, you don't require anything but the mod itself to be able to play: the original game is not required.
Here's another game lobby theme that will be introduced in DTA 1.13: the Red Alert Soviet theme.
Two more game options are also revealed.
- Turtling AI: This does exactly what the name says and make the AI only turtle. In other words, the AI will barely attack at all and primarily use any units it builds just to defend its base.
- Build Off Ally: This will allow you to build structures next to structures of an allied player.
Turtling AI should be an AI option instead of a game lobby option. You should be able to set up each individual AI to be a turtle or not.
That's unfortunately not possible because the TS engine is limited to 3 AI difficulty levels.
"60 FPS", huh? Now, I'm kinda confused. Does this mean that any speed setting below "fastest" makes the game run below 60 frames per second? Excuse me, if this is a silly question, but I never thought that game speed in Tiberian Sun depended on frame rate.

Hmm, the speed cap setting on the previous screen shot is "Fastest (MAX)". Really confusing...
The frame rate of TS has always depended on the selected game speed. There's a difference in the game speed setting between online and offline games however: online the "Fastest" setting makes the game run at 60 FPS, but in Skirmish it's the "Faster" game speed setting that makes the game run at 60 FPS, while the "Fastest" game speed setting makes the game run as fast as your CPU can possibly handle (hence why it's called "Fastest (MAX)" in the Skirmish lobby screenshot).
cool stuff, the turtle A.I will be interesting to see. do you plan to introduce the background music to the menu? Youtube.com
Have a look at this image -> Moddb.com <- and take one guess what the "Music ON" button is for =P
The music you hear depends on whether you're using a TD or RA theme.
ha i missed that thanks, look forward to seeing what the other options will be
