hello

could someone from the developer team elaborate what does it mean when one class has low/medium/high proficiency with something?

how does it affect weapons, their function, efectivity etc... (e.g. how will it different if I use sniper rifle, assault rifle and a carbine as a sniper?) will I be able to use carbines efectively as a sniper? - let's say will my sniper perk make me more accurate with carbines in low crouch?

I guess with suits it just degrades faster, or am I wrong?

thanks for the answer :)

You can check config files. You can compare for example LR300 for Sniper[low proficiency] and Recon[high proficiency]. Checking files carefully will reveal that for a sniper the camera dispersion is much higher which mean more camera sway and more weapon spread thanks to that.

so I'll have to find a weapon file in config folder am I right? ok will do that :)

and how about degradation is it affected too?

This is explained in general in the guide, however each piece of equipment is affected by proficiencies somewhat differently. So, if you're interested in learning more about this, the best option is to check respective files and compare them between classes.

From what i remember, suits degrade at the same rate for all classes, the only noticeable differences are in the power_loss stat, which changes how far you can sprint while wearing a specific suit.

Avoid using autosaves, use hard saves only.

Logs are located in "C:\Users\Public\Documents\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Pripyat\logs\xray_....log"
