The objective of the KILLER APP MOD for TRON 2.0 on the PC, is to incorporate elements from TRON 2.0 KILLER APP for the XBOX platform that were never released for the PC version of TRON 2.0.
In addition, the KILLER APP MOD bundles other previously released MODS into one. Effectively, allowing the player an even more dynamic gaming experience.

It's been a long time since the last update, but as promised, here is the first of a series of short videos (and possibly screenshots) showing some of the new features that will be in the next version of the mod. More videos are to come, at a later time.
This video demonstrates the cutscenes, in-game geometry, and HUD, all in the proper dimensions and aspect ratios for a widescreen display at 1680x1050 resolution. It also shows a Gold cheat integrated directly into the first level of the game . . . now for some real user power!
Due to the sheer number of updates that the mod will make to the game, from the most minor to the major, and because not all the planned features may end up in the upcoming release: the next version of the mod will likely be released as an Open Beta. This will allow for the fact that not all features may be complete, and also to allow testing by a broad range of users, to help discover any problems that may crop up. These issues will be dealt with in another future and final version, based on everyone's feedback.
The release of the Open Beta is tentatively scheduled to occur in the Fall of 2009. As before, no promises are made. But we will do our best to have the next version completed by the expected timeframe.

I still have the Killer App Mod on my harddrive here, says version 1.0, but I think it was the first beta version - its a nice mod :)
I have 1.0 as well, it's a blast to play with. I guess I was one of the lucky ones who just happen to look at the right time to get it. One comment I'd like to make after seeing the video is can there be two options for all gold? Having played with 1.0 it is nice having gold versions of all of the weapons only and you still have to go to all of the bins and get the stuff you wanted out of it, and still have to seek out the optimizers, and if done right, you end up with gold everything with a few optimizers to spare. I understand some people like to be uber powerful from the beginning, but there are those of us that enjoy playing the game and getting all of the out of the way things. =] I know I 'could' still go to the bins and access them, but I'm lazy, I won't if I don't have too. Using the code to get gold weapons is proof of that ;P Also the whole getting 100 points to spend on yourself is cool. I've been using cheat engine to do something similar giving myself 37 extra points at the beginning so that I have all 5 maxed out when Jet reaches version 9.0.0, that way you can actually enjoy everything for a short while. Just my two cents. Thanks for the hard work on this and user error guys, keep it up.
If you don't want to use the new Gold cheat, you can just use the mpkfa cheat like before after skipping the training. But the mod changes it so that mpkfa gives you all Gold weapon subroutines on the first level.
You'll be missing out on the remaining subroutines (Utility, Defense), maxed out ratings, and the instant 1.05 build points that the new cheat gives you, though.
P.S. Before anyone asks, yes the mod is still being worked on. Taking longer than hoped. Will be released before the end of the year, though. Possibly late Nov. or early Dec. 2009, if all goes well.
Please release an alpha or beta version, I need widescreen support >.< !

It's nothing too exciting, so I'm not posting these as part of a news update. I'll have something more interesting to show in the next couple of weeks, and I'll post an update then.

Why have a readme on how to install it when it's not out?
Because no one is supposed to be hosting it or linking to it? The mod isn't ready for release yet.
