I love these kind of pics. I do have 1 question though, are these to scale because I know the Phoenix class is smaller than that by a little. :D

[edit] Actually looking at a few of the other pics it looks OK, are these (in this pic) the same scale as in the game? As maybe the pic is playing tricks on my eyes.

GL!

They are the same size as ingame, the pic is probably messing with your eyes :).
Oh and the Assault Carrier is scaled down so it can actually fit on the maps btw.

it just seems like there would be different ships, it seems like you guys favored fanonical ships over canonical

just because of spite towards the source material

is there a reason that the big fanonical ship was favored over something based on the waypoint destroyer

You mean the UNSC Destroyer? Our destroyer IS based off a canon design, but it's the one that was shown in the Halo Wars Genesis graphic novel rather than the one that was shown in Midnight in the Heart of Midlothian, this is mainly because it came first.

Oh and we've got most of the canon ships I believe, excluding the Halo: Reach corvette (I'm still working on that), even the Light Cruiser is based off a description from one of the books.

It's not skinned, and I'm not happy with the level of detail on it, so I decided not to include it in this render. But don't worry, it will return once it's had a makeover :), and when it does it'll fit nicely in between the Phoenix and Assault Carrier.

It may just be me, but I think the Covenant have a bigger ship than us

I thought the Covenant destroyer from Halo Wars was larger? Though I must admit I don't know the stats off hand.

I could have swore that the Covienant destroier was at least half the size of the pheonix refit, it looked that way in one of the cut scenes from Halo Wars. Or the SoF would have blown one of those to bits.

The size of Covenant Destroyers varies from about 650m to 1500m, we decided to go with a sive in the middle, so it's about 1000m in H:CaW.

Cool, you even added the Sof's landing craft on the flanks, are they fixed or can they deploy?
nice work:D

Why is the SoF almost as big as a covenant assault carrier?

Oh man. Will these ships retain the awesome 'break off' hardpoint features like in EaW? and will the larger ships split in half when destroyed? I love that feature and I hope it carries on into this mod.
