Yeah he was just joking I think. More importantly though, they thought the same thing about people who thought the world revolved around the sun. The point is that even if you don't believe in something, accept the possibility that it could be true. Otherwise you are only limiting yourself.

I saw an error on the "Release date" on the video XD, althought you propably did it on prupose since theere is no release date, you put "20/12/2012" There is no month 20th o.O Isint the dates "Month/Day/Year" Unless its in spanish =/ Spanish is "D/M/Y" but yea...unless it was purpusly done like that...its an error..Just in case you never noticed..

It's just the European way of writing it. 3/4 of the working team are Europeans, so yeah. Also, this emphasizes the joke on the release date more :D

We have one demo out, which is the Halycon demo. Other demos or a beta is indeed a no go.
Man, the Covenant were getting annihilated in the video. Just the way things should be.

I noticed in the video that covenant pulse lasers appeared to be firing from randoms spots on and even off the the ships spamming them. And will you bring nukes into play in the endgame mod "Stargate" mod of FOC had a good explosion/effect you could use as a reference and I'd recomend making it dangerous to user and well as enemy to add realise and to keep UNSC users from just spamming it for the win. Also do you guys have the UNSC prowler as a UNSC unit in the works?
Yeah the pulse lasers have been fixed(as one of many things!). Though in some rare ocasions we can't fix them due to certain issues with those particles in this game(I hope I said that right, if not Anh Nhan will probably correct me :P). A good example of such an ocasion is the laser fired by the Laat/I gunships in several mods for FoC, which also never seems to spawn at the point of canon origin.
As for nukes, I remember Blamtroid was/is hesitant of using them. We might put them ingame, we might not. As for the prowler the answer is yes, it actually is allready finished and ingame.
I am not too pleased with the missile effects in this mod. Just having different colored fire trails looks very cheap and the colors look and i think you should try to make more studies on how a missile would actually appear in space, and perhaps model the actual projectile rather than just the trail.
Also, i hope you will have nice effects for when they launch from their bays like in Homeworld, that would be cool. :)
If we would do that the outcome would most likely be invisible. First of all space is dark and a missle is usually pretty small(in comparison of course). It's allready hard to spot longswords, let alone missiles(they are even smaller!). If we would make this too realistic your ships would just float and one would blow up from time to time... not really a fun experience right?
Instead we choose to make them more visable by using these trails, which have been modified a couple of times allready since the release. Now I can understand that you don't like the trails(as it would be pretty impossible to make these kind of big/long trails in space) and I understand your point regarding the missile model(it's not even visable in this trailer). So I will certainly adress it to the other team members.
I do hope you know it took a lot of time to create these trails and to be honest I think Anh(who worked most on them) did a good job. He allready considered everything I wrote above before even thinking of showing the missles in the trailer. So !NO offence!, but saying you're not to pleased with the missle effects!?!?... I think that's something Blamtroid should say(as he is the modleader). Again no offence! We appreciate the comments :) As yours is quite helpfull.
Now about the Homeworld effect, I do not know how that looks but I am pretty sure it would be hard to get it in as the Foc engine is really limited. However that's not my area of expertise so I'll leave that up to those who do have knowledge about it.

man whats taking so long i mean sw eaw foc came out in 2006 and im pretty shure that u guys started making this around that time(if im wrong please correct me) so whats up?like if i were a idiot(wich im not)i would think you're just having troubles but no i think that you're just wasting peoples time. really it shouldnt take 6 years to make a mod its not like u made a new game its a mod so whats taking so long.
