FLYER FIX APPLIED: Thanks to brother Hymmnos, flyer fix has been applied to this map. If by some chance you do have issue with flyers do report back. I have tested the map and SM, Orkish, Tau, Eldar and IG flyers worked just fine.
WARNING! Despite Hymmnos best efforts, you will see that it is very hard for flyers to fly over the bridge or get onto the bridge from the empty space between two mountain sides. Reason for this is not known, at this time. Brother Hymmnos tried over and over again, I modified the map at least several times, but no matter what we did, this obstacle remained. Flyer fix WORKS! This is not the issue. Simply, for some reason, after Flyerfix is applied, along the length of the bridge impassable sections appeared. Keep this in mind if you are going flyer heavy in your strategy.

Hello. This is my latest map set in Svarog Sector.
Its map for Dawn of War Soulstorm. Resources are adequately spread. Its 4vs4 map. Check out the screenshots to get some valuable info on the map itself.
SCAR controls the no build zone, present so AI could not block itself in its own base with aggressive base construction.
There is significant number of decals which are new and you will need to download my decal pack with 900 new decals and I suggest you do this asap as many of new decals will be in my future maps.
Given time and effort invested in this map I would appreciate your feedback on the map.

This map is made by fan and for fans of Warhammer40k universe and is to be under no circumstances used or shared for commercial gain.

With rest of the files you will find a DDS. texture file named urban_road_arrow1. On the map it appears as a yellow arrow on the street lanes. If you get the marker showing a missing decal place this texture in the following folder path: Dawn of War Soulstorm/DXP2/Data/art/decals/urban. If there are no missing textures once you load the map, then ignore this part.

Really love this map, it looks gorgeous. I guess since you ask for feedback, my only complaint is that the camera can get behind the rocks next to the starting areas rather easily. But that's not enough to stop me from playing it.
I am missing a decal though, and it's not included in this download or your massive decal pack. The filename is mon_concrete. I do have a file of the same name in my detail textures, but when I try to copy this to my decal folder a graphical glitch occurs on the map. Is there some other mod I should have installed, or somewhere separate I should download commonly used decals from? Thanks.
First of, thanks on the compliments for the map and for the feedback. I am sorry to hear about the camera, I tested the map with extended cam and never noticed it. I know it ruins immersions, but I usually rotate the camera in those kind of situations.
Regarding a missing decal, I know it, its part of an older decal collection for a Space Marine monastery map, its not in my custom decals pack. I believed these decals were vanilla decals from DoW but it would seem they were custom made for an earlier map. You can find the missing decal here, just dl it and place in the proper folder.

The proper path on my PC, for installation of the decal, is DoW/SS/DXP2/Data/Art/Decals/Monastery
Thanks very much for your thorough answer. In the end I just needed to add a small transparency border on the decal to eliminate the visual bug. Not sure why my monastery decals were out of whack, but you helped me narrow it down.

You put this in the scenarios mp folder right?
Check out the READ ME file. It should point you in the right way. Not all files go to the same folder. Some of these folders might be missing in your case, so you will have to create them manually.
does installing the map on Unification BugFix folder worked?
I think you should see the map in Unification if you install it as it is instructed in the READ ME file.
Try that and if you have problems, report back here.

so after playing on this map spotted afew things.
1.stragic post in walls.
2. game crashed aftyer 15 mintues playing.
3. purple question marks even though got the urban and 900decals pack installed.
4.its extremely dark.
5. the camera falls down the ledges when looking about.
Matty_elite, hi there. Forgive my somewhat late reply. Regarding your issues:
1.I took a look at the SP positioning on the map, and true enough, some of them are halfway in the wall, but all of the SPs are visible and easily accessible by player units.
2. Don't know what to tell you about this. I played map repeatedly and the only time it crashed for me, and it was just one time, is when I used the highest elevation available on the camera mod.
3. So, this is a strange one. I do not understand what is happening here. Will have to take a look in more detail when I get some free time.
4. As you can see from the pictures above, its is light enough in the areas where the action is and your units are. The map is supposed to be a night map and thus the sky color is black, it might be that is giving you impression of the map being too dark.
5. Nothing I can do about this one. That is standard DOW camera behavior.

Thank you man and I have good news for you, there are several new maps almost completed. Not so good news is that there are new props and scenery in these map so you would need to wait for a new Prop Mod couple of us guys are working on currently before you can download and play the maps.

All in due time brother jONES, there are some plans but still in the future.
its a very good map. but there occure issues when you are using zoom mod(camera mod).
1.you cant see the strategic points very well(theyre hidden in the rocks).
2.you fall down the dark place outside the bridge when you scroll over it.
maybe solution for nr2. - make the dark ground(abyss) as high as the other ground(bridge area etc..) and just paint it in black/dark colors with shade. so that the camera position has not to go to a low point when looking around.
but despite this still a very nice map and very professional work. thank you for that. :)
hey man, are your map packs compatible with the ua or unification mods?
spicychickenmage, hello. My maps are, in most, compatible with Unification. I believe all of them can support even titan units from Uni. UA is different thing all together. My maps are not compatible with Ultimate Apocalypse, sole reason being the titans in that mod, which are to large to move normally, or at all, on my maps. If you want to play my maps I would suggest Unification. All the best.
