This mod is for all the players frustrated with the cartoony nature of Zero Hour units and buildings. We intend to replace every fanciful unit in Zero Hour with its closest possible real world equivalent, without changing the unit's capabilities.
Replaces the gatling turret.
Kinky stuff :D
Just in case anyone was wondering where the truck is, it didn't fit.
what do you think the usa patriot battery will be replaced by i suggest the pac 3
the patriot missile system will be replaced with a more realistic one, because the Patriot missile system is a real thing
maybe one of these

The game has the correct Patriot missile system but it has an unrealistic looking texture and missing the chassis.
This is a Pac-3 launcher:

The above launchers by smalldjck are Pac1/Pac2 and older variants.
Even without the truck it's a fitting replacement and probably the closest real-world equivalent to the Gattling cannon.
Great job on this one.
me likey^^
This looks incredible. Nothing rustles my jimmies like modern day turrets.
Nice one
I know this is really off topic, but can the abrams tank have an upgrade that gives it a top mounted machine gun, to add realism?
The whole point of this mod is that we don't change gameplay at all.
understood
Very good model. :)
awesome, more games really need to add these sorts of structures
I like the sound real CIWS make.
BBBBBBBRWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMM
It's a hard to describe sound but it sounds like something is ripping at a very fast rate/speed enough so that the full rip sound isn't heard but only the beginning.
Would it be possible to enlarge the space this building would require so that the whole vehicle would fit, so that you would not have to cut it in half and forget the other half? Or would it be too difficult to accomplish?
Anyway, I like this half-vehicle way more than the gattling gun; well done!
We could, easily, add the entire vehicle. What we can't change is the collision area, this would change game-play. It would look a bit goofy to have people constantly passing directly through the vehicle part as if it wasn't there.
I am sorry, but I think you are taking your "no gameplay changes" ideology too far, considering that you do not want to complete a building because it would change gameplay.
Presuming we all agree that a half made base defense looks silly, why can you not be a little bit more flexible when the situation clearly demands it? If you do not make ANY exceptions at all, some buildings or units will/may seem incomplete or hastily done.
This is the only complaint I have thus far, and you would propably make other gamers happier too if you broke against the rules of your ideology when it would be the only way of achieving sensible results.
I fully respect both the quality of your work and your dedication, I am just pointing out a little issue.
Sincerely, lammiviljam :) (I apologise if I anger you, this is not my intention at all)
Oh and by the way, if you strive for realism, it REQUIRES some gameplay changes...in my opinion, visual realism is quite not enough.
But of course, your mod, your decisions! Do not strain yourselves too much, you might risk a burnout.
No. Wrong. Not striving for realism. Only going for the looks.
So, no truck, how is it going to move?
I guess because it is a building it doesn't have to move, because, you know, its a building and all.
