This mod is for all the players frustrated with the cartoony nature of Zero Hour units and buildings. We intend to replace every fanciful unit in Zero Hour with its closest possible real world equivalent, without changing the unit's capabilities.
Final junk/salvage upgrade for Quad cannon.
All 3 quad cannon stages in-game: I.imgur.com
waow this is freaking awesome!!!
love them!!
very good one
awesome! but how come the second stage has only 2 cannons?
Because that SPAAG has only 2.
An alternative to the 2nd version could be the Flakpanzer IV "Wirbelwind", maybe the SIDAM 25?
We're not adding Nazi weaponry to the game. It really doesn't make any sense, at all. Sorry.
Although secretly I always wanted to somehow work in the bunkerfied Pz4's that Syria once used in the water war.
(buried)
It does make sense though, because the GLA could and would salvage WW2 equipment(or anything they could get their hands on), and people didn't really have any use for it after the war and probably just dumped all of them in a junkyard. What about the SIDAM 25? Or is that too recent?
I have nothing against your work, it is amazing, but it doesn't make sense to me to use a twin-barreled machine as something that specifies it uses four. Your work is good, I won't ask you to use something else, because you're already doing so much work anyway.
Last time I checked neither of them were used by any mid-east country.

If you're interested in the subject I suggest some light reading: Ww2f.com
tl;dr France sold Syria reconditioned axis vehicles in 1959, Jagdpanzer IVs (6), Hummels (5), Stug III G (28) and Panzer IVs (28).
All of these vehicles were destroyed and/or captured by Israel before 1975. As a result, any GLA operating today would be unable to secure any that just "happened to by lying about". It's a fun historical quirk, but it isn't appropriate for this mod.
I don't really care that the Quad stage 2 has only 2 barrels because we care far more about the function and origin of a vehicle than its physical appearance. (otherwise I would have wanted to stick with Type 59 for battlemaster).
P.S. This is how the Syrians used their final Pz4 Ww2incolor.com Digging them in didn't help the fact that they were fighting armor 20 years beyond the late-war german tech and they got blasted. The furthest I would go to include them in game is to have a rare-variant of tunnel entrance that has a 1/100 chance of appearing any time you build a tunnel, the small turret on top would be swapped out for a pz4 chassis which can somehow magically swivel, do don't really get your hopes up. Also IIRC on the bulgaria-turkey border there were panther turrets used as post-war as bunkers. Funny stuff.
Okay I understand...and learning a bit of history is always interesting.
Our army was not the best back then
Shilka ! One of my favourite.
IMY the ZSU-23-4 is more of the "Quad Raper" than a "Quad Cannon".
I'm afraid of the Shilka.
The videos of them firing indiscriminately in Syria are chilling.
Well them FSA ******** better get out soon.
Ah the good old Shilka. My fav. gun based AA tank. Also called the "Zeus"
Crews also refer to it as the Beryusa. One of my favorite vehicles as well. Coalition aircraft pilots feared this SPAAA during Both Iraq wars.
I believe the "Birusa" was a different and upgraded version.
No. All older variants were upgraded to the ZSU-23-4MZ Beryusa version when they had to be repaired or upgraded/modernized.
Therefore the current variants in service even in the Middle East are of the Beryusa (1977) variant and not the original 'Shilka' (Model 1964/1968).
Sweet.
well the Tunguska was great but this will still kick some a**
