Battlezone Enhanced is a conversion MOD of the original 1998 Battlezone.
Currently it only fully supports muliplayer, as it was built with muliplayer in mind but has a couple of test/placeholder single player missions as well.
Battlezone Enhanced (BzE) includes playable races from the Red Odyssey expansion pack, and adds custom DM maps with all new units and features.
BZE has gone GOLD, and is now ready for download. It completes several years of work to bring the game you love to newer hardware and Windows 7 machines. It now works with 32 and 64 bit systems. It also works with all new video cards.
BZE1.3 also utilized Direct X 9! Allowing much higher resolutions, as high as 1900x1200 if your monitor supports it.
Several new enhancement that greatly increase the game’s ability to reside on your desktop with as little a footprint as possible, which allows you to quickly find a game, till you’re ready to play. Of course, BZE has always been able to reside on your desktop as a small window, however BZE1.3 can now be re-sized as well as moved and also minimized, making it easy to access anytime.
To do so merely make an extra BZE icon on your desktop and put /win at the end in the target line;
“c:\Bz Enhanced 1.3\BzE1.3_D3D9.exe” /nointro /win
It also serves as a chat window to visit with other BZE players.
